In fact as pep Parashara he links the D-9 to the 7th (wife), the D-7 to the 5th (children), and the D-20 to the 9th (dharma). So I would be rather cautious with relatiing the divisional charts freely to any fields of life unless I have a shastric reference for this. Karakamsha and houses therefrom are specific things listed by Jaimini Mahrishi. But this is specific. I wouldn't expand this priciple so freely os rather wouldn't generalize it so much. In th Rashi chart we would see guru from the 9th, and Diksha from the 5th. Or maybe we refer to the Drik Dasha of D-9, D-20. But unless pecifically stated, it's not obvious to link the Guru to one planet and expect to find him in the Vimshottari Dasha of that planet. > Thing is that I have followed this principle of linking narayana dashas within divisional charts with corresponding rasi houses lords and theirs levels of divisions, beyond 12th,24th etc. I think its explained in introduction to COVA, or somewhere. Sanjay specificaly in some list said to look for a guru from BK. SOmethink like " everybody has a father and few a guru " . Diksa is seen from Drig dasa and AL. As AL refers to name and drig dasa to taking spiritual direction in life. Its from COVA. However I feel that it might be possible to see this through Vimsottari also. Regarding this : " In fact as pep Parashara he links the D-9 to the 7th (wife), the D-7 to the 5th (children), and the D-20 to the 9th (dharma). " Wife is a result from a father(in his time definitely) so is seen in D-9. And children cannot come without a relationship with a women(note that children jump every three(copulation 3rd house) signs from 5th or 9th house there). D-20 would be like 8th house. I know that spiritual principles are usually seen through 9th house but lets see my example with 8th house. I've got Saturn in Pushya as a ruler of 2nd(food) and 3rd(strengths and weaknesses) in conjunction with Mars in Aslesha(great enemies). Saturn GK, Mars MK. 2nd and 4rt refer to childhood. When I was 6 to 9 I stopped(sat) eating meat(mars) just because I could not tolerate seiing those animals eaten.(now I think this is because it happens in 12th from AL and refers to things you reject-violence sat and mars). My whole family was against it, yet I continued with it to this day. Do not have to tell you how I felt sometimes(as it happenes in Cancer). Yet it was definitely spiritual decision as it was based partially on a yoga book of Maheshwarananda as my aunt was practicing yoga under him so I could get these different books at a time). So saturn there(in 8th in Pushya -his naksatra) was good for spirituality, yet mars caused troubles, and since this happenes in 12th from AL(and varnada lagna is in 9th) it brought me somewhat of a bad name in family-only from that -otherwise they liked me). So 8th house can mean dharma also(ahimsa in this case because 12th from AL). Only if somebody could explain me this other way around would I rethink this. If it breaks from either side, it can't be called a proper guru-shishya relationship. > Well I really do feel that ST is quite a qualified soul and as far as I am concerned we'll see. :-)
