OM KRISHNA GURU!!!!!Pranaam Jyotisha,I have been going through the posts on retrogression and I have a doubt regarding the age at which the sun strikes a retrograde planet.I am doing the calculation taking my chart as an example. Please guide me if I am wrong.Planet Position Pada CharaK Ascdt 5 Pi 22 U.Bhaa. 1 - Sun 1 Vi 42 U.Pha. 2 DKMoon 13 Ar 36 Bharani 1 PKMars 16 Le 16 Poo.Pha. 1 PiKMercury ® 21 Le 18 Poo.Pha. 3 BKJupiter 12 Li 09 Swathi 2 GKVenus 16 Li 25 Swathi 3 MKSaturn ® 29 Ar 00 Krittika 1 AKRahu 8 Aq 02 Satabhisham 1 AmKKetu 8 Le 02 Makha 3 - Here Saturn is in the 6th house from the Sun. I need to calculate the 7th house longitude from saturn's natal position. My doubt at this point is: is the 7th house position of staurn =(30 - 29 Ar 00) 1 Li 00 or is it 29 Li 00?

Comment: for 7th house, you have to add 180 degrees to the longitude. So, in your case, 29 Li 00 is the correct 7th house longitude for Saturn.

If the 7th house position is 29 Li 00 then the sun will strike at (30 (30 Deg - 1 Deg 42) + 29 Deg 00 = 57 Deg 18 Min. The sun will therefore strike at 58 years and 6 months.

 

Comment: 57 Deg 18 Min is correct. But, the age is 57 years, 3.65 months ( 3 months 20 days).Please guide me.

Comment: In your case, the retrograde Saturn is Debilitated, as per Gurudeva's teaching, it will give results akin to its exaltation.
