Jaimini Sutras - Sloka Clarification

Namaste

 

I have been going through the translation of Jaimini Sutras by

B.V.Raman and in Chapter 1 , Sloka 19 it reads :-

 

Matra saha putrameke samamananthi.

 

B.V.Raman has translated this as , MK and PK can be combined as the

same graha , which has highest number of degress after BK.

 

But upon doing so , i find that initially all 8 Chara karakas were

being used , but now only 7 are used and the AMK changes from Rahu to

Sun.

 

Please advise if im on the right track ?
