Rahu and Mars in 8th House

Namaskar,

 

I saw this site today and promptly became a member. I had attended a

few classes of Sanjayji earlier this year, but missed the Atri

classes. It was great to go thru the tranlation available in the file

section here. Many thanks to Ajay and Jyoti.

 

I must share with u that there is a perfect tally of my husband's and

my Navamsa charts as explained in the lesson on marriage by Sanjayji.

I was amazed at this. Of course, I had to rectify my birth timing my

2 minutes and 15 seconds to make this happen. Others could check it

out if they want (Husband's birth data: 16th Oct. 1948; 5.19 p.m.

Calcutta; My birth data: 3rd July 1954; 2.45.15 a.m. Lucknow). It

would be interesting to know whether such a match occurs for others

too who have been married for long (in the traditional Indian sense!).

 

For some time now I have been trying to make sense of my chart with

rather limited knowledge. The idea is to understand the self better.

With the use of some imagination a few things have fallen in place. I

am currently running Moon MD which has brought in amazing results

that I had never expected. From 2013 I will have Mars MD, and if I

survive that Rahu MD. I don't expect a very long life (I am saying

this without any pessimism) but would still like to know what these

planets stand for in my chart - both being in the 8th House of

longevity and aspected by karaka of 8th house. OF course, these

planets are in the house of Jupiter (Taurus Lagna)and aspected by

Jupiter - but isn't Jupiter iteself a Maraka placed in Maraka sthan?

Mars too is a Maraka, conjoined and aspected by other malefics,

including Saturn.I get a very mixed picture here so please help me to

understand things better.

 

Let me once again repeat that these questions are not asked with a

sense of anxiety but only out of curiousity and an eagerness to

learn. I hope that members of this forum will be able to throw some

light on this.
