The former > means specifically the faculty of discrimination. It is not a mordern > understanding of intelligence or intellect which is simply logic - I very clearly said that I was talking about the *English word* " intelligence " . I prefer to use the word " wisdom " for what you called " discrimination " above and painstakingly described in your long post. I did agree that Jupiter stands for wisdom and judgment. I only said that Mercury stands for logic and reasoning. Whoever wrote that translation used " intelligence " in a sense in which I do not understand that word. I am quoting below the meaning of the English word " intelligence " from the online Webster dictionary.
