ohm gam ganapatayae namah!

pujya gurudev,

Parasara has listed variety of conditional dasas.

My understanding is:

Dwisaptati Sama Dasa is typically used when lagna lord in in the 7th or

the 7th lord in Lagna.

Shatrimsa sama dasa is typically used when lagna is in Sun's hora for

the persons born in day time, and if the lagna is in moon's hora for the

persons born in night time.

Dwadasottari dasa is typically used when lagna is in Taurus or Libra in

Navamsa.

Chaturasiti sama dasa is typically used when 10th lord is in 10th.

Sataabdika dasa is typically used when lagna is in vargottama sthiti.

Shodasottari dasa is typically used when lagna is in Sun's hora for a

sukla paksha birth OR lagna is in Moon's hora for a krishna paksha

birth.

Panchottari dasa is typically used when lagna is in Cancer in Rasi and

dwadasamsa (i.e. Lagna is in Canncer in D-1 and D-12)

Now, my Lagna is in Sun's hora. I am born in sukla paksha in day time.

Lagna is in Libra in D-1 annd D-9, and D-12.

(Birth details: Sep 26,1974, 7.34 am IST (5 hours 30 min faster than

GMT). Longitude 81deg 12 min, 16deg 9 min. ).

Lagna lord Sukra is in Leo.

Shatrimsa is applicable to me, as Lagna is in Sun's hora and I am born

during the day.

Dwadasottari is applicable to me, as Lagna is in Libra in D-9.

My 10th lord Moon is Cp. So, Chaturasiti sama is not applicable.

Sataabdika is applicable as Lagna is in Libra in both D-9, and D-1

(vargottama).

Shodasottari is applicable as Lagna is in Sun's hora, and I am born in

Sukla paksha.

So, for me, Shatrimsa, Dwadasottari, Sataabdika, Shodasottari are all

applicable. Now, are there any other finer conditions to choose one from

above?

As regards to Shatrimsa, and Shodasottari we can both be applicable for

all the persons born in the Sun's hora in day time in sukla

paksha, and Moons hora in night and in Krishna paksha.

In these cases which of the two shall be prefered.

Also, how are these dasas interpreted? Same way as is Vimsottari? Does

the tripod principle apply here also?

your sishya,

vijay
