contains a Word doc titled SJVCnotes.doc. This outlines posts bySanjay Rath ji to this and other group...I quote from Page 110:++++++1. In the first place it is incorrect to name any child simply becauseyour wife saw a dream. If she did, then the correct thing is still toconsult a good Jyotisha who has some knowledge of Sakuna Shastra andSwapna Shastra. The namakshara chosen is in Mesha Rasi which is in the8th house from the Janma Rasi in Kanya indicating that the name shallbring disease. So, her name has to be changed. There is the greatBhagya Yoga, Lakshmi Yoga and Gajakesari caused by the conjunction ofGuru and Chandra and this should be activated by choosing anauspicious akshara from Kanya Rasi. This is also 11th from AL andshall be auspicious. Preferaably some name like 'Priyadarshini' etc...... the post continues with regards to child's health and remedies......++++++++In the

above case, name brings disease because it is based on 8thhouse namakshara. In the same token if, a person's name is based on6th house rasi (Aquarious) will it bring disease, enemies, wounds, rivals etc?In the chart I am looking at, namakshara rasi is scorpio (Moon is in3rd house, scorpio rasi and moon nakshatra is anuradha) but name isbeginning from 6th house Aquarious namakshara. This chart is also showing saturn (6th house lord) debilitated in 8thhouse aries. kantak shani? and mars as 3rd and 8th lord is in 2ndhouse (libra) opposing debiliated saturn in 8th (aries).12th lord sun has gone to 6th house. This chart (also a child) that I am looking at, is also showing manyauspicious yogas eg hamsa and malavya mahapurusha yogas, sadhu yoga, lakshmi yoga, saraswati yoga, dharmakarmadhipati yoga, raja yogas, plus others. Does it again mean that changing her name would worktowards enabling activation of some/all

these yogas?I am still very much a beginner at disiphering charts and would truelywelcome some input and pointers.- health and longevity is comprimised because of debilitated saturn in8th house? Child is also running saturn mahadasa which will end in Jun2012. Or does debilitated satrun in 8th house mean sorrow?- Child naturally likes listening to Hanuman chalisa and demands tolisten to it a couple of times as a lullaby at bedtime. This is goodfor her? (reasoning: Sri Hanumanji is vaayu putra. Satrun rules vaayutatwa)-Mriytunjaya mantra japa or listening to it will help protect?- If name change is advisable then does it have to be "formal" or justcall her by new name and stop using current name?I am asking these questions not just specific to this chart but alsofor understanding general principles. Like, if say someone's name wasbased of a rasi that was of an auspicious house eg 9th house but it

isnot the namakshara rasi, then will it give good effects but not asgood as if proper naming methodology is applied? However, if maleficplanet is in 9th house then that has to considered and also whathouses that planet rules etc? Most people in the west are not namingaccording to Vedic system. Is there an article or pointer as more info on this?.....like the oneRafal ji gave to TP?Many thanks-k avast! |om|Dear Sanjay, pranaams

I asked this Q to Sarbani but no reply so far.

1) How do we analyse names like Ve-nka-ta-su-bra-ma-niam or Si-va-ra-ma-kri-shnan etc...that is, names having 5 aksharas or more?

2) As Smt Lakshmi pointed out, giving three names at the naming ceremony is routine in South India. How do we analyse this or do we go for the name used in parlance?

best regards

Hari
