Guest guest
Pranaam Sanjay, > This is where Jupiter differs with Mercury. There are many things in > this world where sanity check is not going to yeild any results. True. But there are also many things in this world where sanity check is helpful. If, for example, a guru teaches a sishya that divisional charts are useless and rasi chart is sufficient to predict one's life perfectly, a good student will do a sanity check on it and think, " there are people (like twins) who have the same rasi chart, but different lives. So rasi chart is not sufficient. But my guru is saying it is sufficient. How can that be true? " A good student may ask his guru about it. If his guru insists on his original stand, he may even choose to disagree with his guru (but still continue to have utmost respect for his guru). PERSONALLY, I would prefer such a sishya to one who has blind faith in me and agrees with me always. That is MY personal preference of course. A question - even the one that appears non-saattwik on the surface - can be for good, as long as the sishya is sincere in his quest for Truth and in his respect for me. > In the example you have cited, it is not a " Correct Prasna " . Your stand that it is not a correct prasna solves the riddle! I am satisfied. But I don't necessarily agree that a prasna posed to a class has to be a " defiance " or " a challenge " . > This rule should also be strictly followed in answering the queries of > the students as the student who does not make a humble request for knowledge > is under the influence of Guna's other than Sattwa and this can make the > learning warped.
