My father always taught me that Narasimha (angry form ofNarayana) should be worshipped to keep Rahu under check.This is especially true if Rahu is in a Mercurian sign(which is the case in your D-1 and D-60). RATH: I AGREE, BUT THEN THERE ARE OTHER MANTRA AS WELL. I LIKE NARASIMHA VERY MUCH AND YOU WILL FIND A NUMBER OF NARASIMHA MANTRA IN MY BOOK.Narasimha is the lord of all mantra and tantra. He controlsall the deities who act as the media for different tantrasand mantras and all the negative spirits are afraid of him. RATH: SINCE OUR PRAYERS ARE TAKEN TO THE GODS THROUGH THE AGNI TATWA (ENERGY MEDIUM) WHICH IS RULED BY MARS AND SUN, HENCE YOUR STATEMENT IS CORRECT, BUT NOT COMPLETE. THERE IS YET ANOTHER MORE SWEETER FORM OF AGNI ..THE SUN OR LIGHT INSTEAD OF THE HEAT OF MARS. IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT THE NARASIMHA BEEJA IS NOT THE NATURAL AGNI BEEJA AND INSTEAD, THE FIRST LETTER OF THE NAME OF RAMA IS. THE VAHNI (AGNI) BEEJAKSHARA IS "RAM". NOW YOU SEE WHY KRISHNA TEACHES....AMONG WARRIORS I AM RAM.Sanjaya, after reading what you wrote, my sincere advice is:read "Mantra Raja Pada Stotram" written by Shiva everyday. THERE ARE SOME OTHER MANTRA OF NARASIMHA, ESPECIALLY WITH SRI OR LAKSHMI.Parvati asks Shiva: "mantraanaam paramam mantramguhyaanaam guhyameva chabruhi me naarasimhasyatattvam mantrasya durlabham" (The greatest of all mantras, the most hidable of allsecrets, teach me Lord Narasimha's nature, which is tough tobe captured by any mantra) Then Shiva recites "Mantra Raja Pada Stotram" for her. Thelanguage and expression are absolutely beautiful. "jyotinshyarkendu nakshatrajwalanaadeenyanukramaatjwalanti tejasaa yasyatam jwalantam namaamyaham" How beautiful! Shiva said: "yannaama smaranaadbheetaabhoota bhetaala raakshasaahrogaadyaascha pranasyantibheeshanam tam namaamyaham" So Narasimha's worship is the answer to the provocations andtemptations that you said you face. Mercury in 5thand exalted Jupiter in 2nd show that you were a good Jyotishin your previous life (which must be the case, given yourtremendous growth as a Jyotish in this life). RATH: THE BEST PLACEMENT FOR JYOTISH IS JUPITER IN LAGNA. I don't understand why you rule out Ge lagna in your D-60.My intuition is in favor of Ge. RATH: WELL...* * * I am not into mantra and tantra. I am in fact put off bytantra. I believe in devotion and I will prefer to read along stotra whose meaning I understand, appreciate and feel,rather than a strange-sounding mantra that is supposed to bepowerful. I never tried any tantra and don't intend to. Itputs me off. RATH: WHEN THE MANTRA IS TRANSMITTED AND YOU KNOW HOW TO INSTALL IT IN THE MIND, THEN THERE IS NO NECTAR SWEETER THAN THE MANTRA. STOTRA HELP TO DEVELOP BHAKTI AND EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT.When I read or hear new things related to astrology orSanskrit language and grammar (etymology etc), I many timesfeel as if I already knew it. I don't get a similar feelingwith other subjects, but I sometimes recognize Sanskritwords I never saw before and immediately figure out theirvyutpatti. Like your tantric skills, my skills in Sanskritgrammar must've followed from me from my previous life. ButI have Jupiter and Ketu in the 4th house in D-60. I wasexpecting Mercury's influence, because he rules grammar etc.Mercury aspects Jupiter and Ketu in 4th from the 9th houseLibra. Lagna lord Saturn is exalted and joins Mercury in9th. Does this show that I knew Sanskrit language, grammarand Jyotish in previous life? How?RATH: SEND YOUR D-1, D-9,D-12, D-60 & D-108 CHARTS. NO COMMENTS UNTIL I SEE THEM.
