I have some doubts in this regard. It is said that AK in kendras to navamsa

lagna would give

strong constitution, not so subspectable to diseases. Also it is said that

Atmakaraka would

give Raja yogas to work. So obviously he can give good. On the other hand if

lord of lagna is

afflicted that means that natural abilities are not used.

It is said that Jupiter rules Purva-Punya, and Saturn(papa) our sins. So I would

take these two

for good and bad that come from our past karma.

And Atmakaraka as storage of all karma, that could be good/bad depending on

position, and rules

ultimately emancipation, as 12th from it would end karma. While Saturn-Jupiter

could simply be

represented by karma/vikarma, and AK could go much deeper(ruling all karma

altogether-and end

of it akarma), and show us the way to get out of it.

Best regards,

Zavisa
