I got the BPHS, Saravali, Jataka Parijatak, Brihat Samhita, COVA and Jaimini's Upadesa Sutra, on 13th October 2000. I started with BPHS as it is the first and foremost book to be read. I have completed only 9 chapters so far. While, reading BPHS, I refer Saravali and Jataka Parijatak for the related topics. After, finishing, BPHS, Saravali and Jataka Parijatak, completely, I wanted take up Pt.Sanjay's books. Because, I understood from the old archives that we need to understand the basics before reading Pt.Sanjay's books. So, I didn't start reading Gurudeva's books.

 

Prior to this, I have a variety of books written in Tamil by Shri. CG.Rajan, Pt.Sanjay's Articles & Lessons, and archives of Varahamihira and Vedic Astrology. This is my knowledge in Astrology.

 

The way I written the mail, is the order I thought about the HORA. Before, reading the divisional chart, chapter, my assumption is that the signs Leo and Cancer for the Hora will be there in BPHS, as the resultant signs for Hora. But, on the contrary it is not there. It is only mentioned that the signs ruled by Sun and Moon. Then, what we learnt in Lesson 3 about Dhakshnayana and Uttarayana came to my mind. The other development of my thinking are as I mentioned in the mail.

 

Later, as you mentioned, Mr. Suresh also, sent a mail, saying that on page 24 of Jaimini Upadesa Sutra, Pt.Sanjay mentioned about this. Then, I referred the book. Yes, it is there in detail.

As I mentioned, any credit must go to Shri Ragavendra. I am only happy that it is in line with Our Gurudeva's teaching. That is enough for me.

 

Note:- I am preparing a tabular chart of all the characteristics of 9 grahas, whatever, mentioned in BPHS, Saravali and Jatak Parijatak + Brahat Jatak of Tamil verse, and also I am framing an easy understanding story for the friendship of the planets. These are all I am preparing for my own understanding. If it is worthy, I will share with you all.
