Dear Swee,

Namaskar

The

Jeevanmuktaamsa is seen from the twelfth from karakamsa. In this parampara we

consider this the istha, as the one who can give Mukti in this body

(jeevan-mukta) must be the most auspicious, and the rest are just temporary

focus of worship.

The

planet determining the karakamsa, is the atmakaraka and there are only eight

such for the animate beings, as these animate beings follow time. The wheel of

time has these eight spokes imbeded and is known as the Kala Chakra. This is

the basis of hinduism. It is also the ‘map’ of the atma or soul,

and shows the eight states (nine actually) which the atma can be in during

anytime... see Dhyana-bindu-upanishad, sloka 94.

Among

these eight spokes, half are recieving energy whilst the other half are

excerting energy. Because of the sense of ahamkara present in most animate

beings, the spokes recieving energy are the only ones ‘awake’... the

rest are hidden or without awareness. However, once in a while an atma is born

with more awareness of the remaining ‘hidden’ petals, and there are

four such atmas depending on the atmakaraka. These those with their atmakaraka

as; Mangal, Budha, Shani and

Rahu.

Thus the

atmakaraka itself can determine the level of awareness and spirituality.

wishes,

Dear

Visti,

Namaste

||Indeed

it is not the graha which decides, but the vishwatma or karakamsa sign

itself.||

Sourav has

hit the nail on the head. He says Rahu is the non conformist. So why, should

Rahu conform and be like the rest of the grahas in ascertaining the Istha?

(Please explain the root of Vishva.)

In any

case, why should a malefic planet indicate high spirituality when it is the

planet or sign in the 12th from karakamsa that ascertains the Istha.

Shouldn’t we, in the first place look at the 9th house of

dharma and its lord and sthirakarakas in rasi?

And no, I

am not asking for any new research J

Love,

Swee

Dear Swee,

Namaskar

I agree

fully with Sourav’s latest statement. Indeed it is not the graha which

decides, but the vishwatma or karakamsa sign itself. To support this; Guruji

has always said that my ishta devata is Sri Vishnu, from the begining, and has

always referred to Mercury.

I have Rahu

atmakaraka and the twelfth house is unoccupied and unaspected, whilst the lord

is Mercury.

The second

from Karakamsa has Surya and Shani in Simha. The obvious choice among the two

would be the stronger graha; Surya, and there has never been any talk about

Surya nor Surya-narayana, as far as Ishta devata is concerned.

Also

reversing the houses from karakamsa would also imply reversing the dharma

devata, and other houses of importance. Guruji has never done this, so what you

are suggesting is new research.

Jaya Jagannatha

Dear Sourav,

Namaste

Ra does not get to decide who his AK will be;

My original question is what becomes when Rahu is

AK. 2nd or 12th? Guess

this is too much of a mind twister. Never mind ;-)

A short note: if you read up in Srimad Bhagavatam

on parts of Canto 3, 5 and

8, " Ra-Ke " showed egoistic authority and

were cursed by the Kumaras. Their

" human " birth took place on earth which

was still submerged in water. Read

up on portends of Rahu which ensue the birth of

Saturn (sorrow).

Love,

Swee
