Guest guest
Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Swee, Partha, Rama, Utpal, Himanshu and everyone else, I have been reading but responding to the mails since the past 10 days, except for an odd mail or two as I am racing against time before my departure for the conferences next week. I know I have not answered many queries addressed to me because of lack of time. So please forgive me. August onwards I should be back on the net intermittently. Swee, I will give you vaidurya and word by word break up of the Jagannath Dhyana in between travelling, but I have done a quick straight translation: In the shankha (conch) in the Niladri parvat (Blue Mountain), amidst the hundred petalled lotus, bedecked with all kinds of ornaments, He, who is the colour of the new monsoon clouds is on the jewel throne (Ratna Vedi) along with his elder co-born (Balaram). He, who is worshipped in the Brahmarandhra, has Bhadra (Subhadra) on his left, and together they roam on the chariot (ratha). I remember Him, who is the essence of the Vedas and forever surrounded by his own people (family). (It is said that the Nila Parvat or the Blue Mountain emerges from the Ocean in Puri and a part of the area is shaped like a conch. The throne on which the Three stand is known as the Ratna Vedi.) Best regards, Sarbani
