Guest guest
|| Sri Gurave Namah || Dear Olusanya, The Rahu's degree is counted in reverse. So, For Rahu 1 Simh 41' 41.76 " Amatyakaraka Take it as 28Deg 18' 18.24 " So it's next after Shani 29 Dhanu 54' 59.50 " Atmakaraka Hence Rahu is Amatya Kaaraka. The rest of the graha you can take as normal. Warm REgards Sanjay P On 2/13/06, olu_bey <olusanya wrote: Hari Om,According to Jhora Rahu is my Amatyakaraka. This has me perplexedbecause I thought the Amatyakaraka is the graha with the next highestlongitude after the Atmakaraka [shani], so why is the Amatyakaraka not Shukra. After Rahu all of the Chara Karakas seem to follow accordingto the degrees of Longitude. Guest guest
Dear Olusanya, While calculating the chara karakas, always remember that since Rahu is always in retrograde motion, his position is calculated from the END of the sign he is in. Rahu is at 1 degree 41 minutes of his sign, so 30 degrees minus 1 degree 41 mins. gives 28 degrees 19 minutes. Thus Rahu acheives the second highest longitude of the planets in your chart. Guest guest
Hari Om Raja,Thank you for your explanation. Sri Sanjay advised me to look at it in reverse, and you just answered my next question with your explanation of Rahu's retrograde motion! Many thanks to both of you for your help.
