Guest guest
Dear Swee, For all its modern sophistication, the west is lawsuit-happy, especially the US and Britain, with tort liability issues abounding all the time. And your bro has just fallen victim; I'm for the moment totally discounting a race-motivated intent behind the neighbor's demur. As an active cricket umpire (before I grew too old for it), I read with appall an incident in England a few years back in which a rugby player broke his neck in a scrum and successfully sued the referee for lots and lots of money. I shuddered to imagine what could happen on a cricket field and play in questionable light or a damp outfield, and someone is seriously injured. For all the strong defense that an ump is above board if he followed the sport's rules, these days anybody can sue for anything, and if they get the right judge (or jury, in the US), they might win. Not sure how the neighbor's tort appeal succeeded if the City Council had indeed approved the plan; there probably is a local bylaw governing such matters. This is the NE area where I have allocated his daily chants to Lord Shiva and Gurumayi. The Northern sector of this is allocated to his daily Tai Chi and the NW is a series of wooden panels, one of which leads to his bedroom. The rest are fine as the refurbishments are actually inside the flat. Now new plans have to be re-done and resubmitted to the Council. Can you please advice what can be done? I am enclosing Charlie's chart for your perusal. Thank you. Love, Swee

My respectful 0.02, Ramapriya ayirpamar I know the Council has indeed approved the plans. My daughter is in Urban planning and she confirmed that. But that’s not the point, how do we pacify the neighbour? Thank God I didn’t go in April, it would mean an 8 month stay over there and I will be missing the first in 5 years the all family get together. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Swee Charlie has the same Kumbha rasi like me and I follow transits very closely...it was a very wrong time for any domestic matter with Saturn in Gemini. It aspected his 4th lord Sun and was in the 4th from his chandramsa (I consider the Moon navamsa more important than anything else for transits). All 4th house matters, especially home would be giving a lot of trouble. This Saturn also happened to be in the 10th from AL...couldn't have been worse. Try this small remedy - ask Charlie to keep the icon or image of Nandi or any bull in the place where he wants the extension made for Shiva. You will see that Shiva will automatically come and sit over there. The vahana always draws the energy of the devata - this is the principle of the kalachakra. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Sanjay ji, Namaste I shall inform Charlie about Nandi. Incidentally, I had placed the egg which was gifted to him by the Temple. (I have never seen one this size; it is about 50/60 cm oval and needed several people to carry it. I have it placed in the same NE corner until last year when Charlie moved it into the garden by the fountain also on the NE corner.) Except for the problem in his flat, the other property which he bought in Chelsea has made good returns for him in 2 years and the sale this year. How do we explain that? The renovations means that he also has to move into the smaller flat next door. Your hint on Chandramsa is excellent! Thank you so much for your advice. Much appreciated. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Sanjay ji, Namaste I’ve just spoken to Charlie. He’s asked if Nandi should sit out on the wooden deck where the extension will be and facing towards the house? Or should Nandi be in the NE corner inside the house? Thanks so much.
