Janma Nakshatra: Danishta

Ruled by atmakaraka mars, ruling 6th and 11th, placed in 12th.

6th house is the 3rd from the 4th, indicating younger siblings of mother. Emotionally close to these aunts and uncles.

11th house of groups and friendships - emotionally close to friends.

Danishta is associated with drumming. In music and in dance, rhythmic performances are the most pleasurable to me. In bharathanatyam and indian music especially.

Ruled by mars, I can become quite angry if emotional.

Ruler in the 12th, I tend to hide my emotions or to be uncomfortable with them. Mostly try to be detached.

4 planets are in nakshatras ruled by atmakaraka mars, which may indicate that many areas of my life will create difficult situations forcing me to develop. This is quite true. The challenges have been emotional (moon), health issues(lagna lord ), intellectual (mercury), mother (4th lord), education (4th lord, mercury), sudden and serious illhealth (8th lord, saturn), siblings (mars).

I would have expected to have an interest in sport with the association of mars, but I have none at all.

Lagna Nakshatra: Punarvasu

Ruled by putrakaraka Jupiter, ruling 7th and 10th, placed in 12th.

Punarvasu is a materialistic nakshatra, and therefore the intelligence will aim for practical results. Ruled by 7th and 10th rulers, it will exercise it most in partnership and career matters.

Punarvasu is a nakshatra that leads to a realisation of the oneness of existence. This is my understanding of reality as well.

Ruled by Jupiter, the intelligence will be directed at doing good.

As Jupiter is in the 12th house, it will also tend to conceal itself, or be unconfident of itself. To some extent this is true. When I wrote my masters thesis, the examiner remarked that where certain original work was done, it was not clear that I had done it myself, of was just reporting someone else's work. Since I had acknowledged all sources, I thought this would be understood, since I had not quoted a reference. I noticed afterwards, that I had completely avoided using the word 'I' in the document. It was my opinion at that time that this was a very asian thing, but I am not sure any more. I also need to know something thoroughly before I will claim to know it.

Re: [sri Guru] destructive constellations/marriage

~~~~~~~OM GURAVE NAMAH~~~~~~~Dear Suresh,
I have also read Solai Kannan's reply to this and am partially agreeing with him. Nakshatra needs to be understood in some more detail. Moola & Jyestha are part of the Gandanta and this has caused some anxiety in the past because of the specific references of Parasara and other standard texts. However there can be no generalisation.
I will deal with this later. Try to study the characteristics of each nakshatra. Let this be a homework for all.
HOME WORK
Study your Janma Nakshatra, Lagna Nakshatra and report its natural characteristics and how it shapes your Mind (MANA Janma Nakshatra and DHI or intelligence from Lagna Nakshatra). I also want to know what your mind thinks as good and bad and when it is going to be sad and when happy and so on. What animals, birds, articles, trees etc are ruled by these constellations. Any other information.
Blessings
Sanjay Rath
