Guest guest
Namaste Sanjayji and Members Lesson 1Can someone please explain this passage. I am not sure that my understanding of it is correct. "Thus the Work/Kama House (tenth) of the Jyotish is the 9th house (Dharma) or the horoscope and thus Prasna Marga advises us to see the Jyotisha in the 12th House." My 10th house is Aries with no planets in it, ruled by Mars. My 9th house is Pisces with no planets in it, ruled by Jupiter. Mars is in my second house. Jupiter and Moon are in my 12th. Please explain the above text in the context of my chart. Namaste Visti I was doing my assignment on Lesson two and noticed from the group e mails that I would have chosen Jupiter to be Lord of the Grahas when in fact the correct answer is Surya. I understand this part but did not know how to do the diagram. Please resend the drawing of Nara Narayana mentioned below. Also please explain Satya Peetha. Lesson 2 So defining Nara would be more akin to saying, "all that happens" and is percieved, thus Nara could be akin to the actions that Vasudevaya performs.See my attached picture, for the drawing. I believe that Nara should also encompass Satya Peetha in the picture.. please comment.Best wishes, Visti. Thank you all Alexandra
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Alexandra, Namaste. Well, in an ordinary chart we take the 10th house of karma as the strongest, as everyne is intent on doing some work or activity or to influence others. Thus the situation in which the native comes into this world is indicated by the 1st house. The destinaton where he goes is the 7th house, and the desires within the heart that keep him moving are the 4th house. The actions that he performs on the basis of his desires are the 10th house, which in turn would influence his karmic direction of movement (7th house again). These are the Kedras. Now let's go back one, to the Apoklima houses (12th, 3rd, 6th and 9th). The 9th house is dharma, and the karma of a Jyotish is to direct the souls to the patho of Moksha (liberation, 12th house) Thus again the situation of the native or his disposition towards performing the acts of Jyotish are seen from the 12th house, as 9th house is the 10th from it. I hope this helps. I was doing my assignment on Lesson two and noticed from the group e mails that I would have chosen Jupiter to be Lord of the Grahas when in fact the correct answer is Surya. I understand this part but did not know how to do the diagram. Well, the correct answer was the Sun ans he is the source (Narayana) and the destroyer (Shiva) of all planets. But what is the role of Jupiter? He is the Guru of all planets as Brihaspati is the Guru of all the Devatas presiding the different planets like Agni, Indra, Karttikeya etc.) So Jupiter would represent true knowledge and religiosity in the chart. He teaches how to serve God and reprtesents God, but does not become God.
