If Moon is 5th lord and Mercury is with Moon (and both are aspecting 5th!), then that clearly shows that your D-20 lagna is accurate! > But one thing worries me: The 9th lord Mars is in the 8th. Martian periods may bring some atheistic tendencies, but don't worry. Lagna as well as 9th are very strong. Where is the other lord of Sc, Ketu? Is he stronger than Mars? Look at the influences on upapada and 7th in navamsa to see info about spouse. Rahu and Ketu influence on lagna, 9th and 12th in D-4 shows living away from the place of birth. I have seen such influences in the charts of Indians as well as Americans (who live far away from their place of birth). If Rahu makes an Indian live in America, the same Rahu may make an American live in India (or Europe). May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, Hare Krishna, Jaya Jagannath! One question: >> But one thing worries me: The 9th lord Mars is in the 8th. Would this >> mean me falldown because of the influence of Venus (kama)? > >Don't worry about it much. The 8th house in D-20 can show godlessness as >well as occult activities. Martian periods may bring some atheistic >tendencies, but don't worry. Lagna as well as 9th are very strong. > >Where is the other lord of Sc, Ketu? Is he stronger than Mars? Why don't >you give your complete birthdata? YND: What do the sages say, and what your experience shows about this two-fold rulership. One of my aquaintances has the same thing (Pisces Ascendant) - Mars as the 9th lord in the 8th house alone, but Ketu being placed in the 11th along with Sun and Venus. So Ketu is stronger. Does this mean that the overall situation will be more like 9th lord in the 11th? Or 9th lord in the 8th will also work? Parashara writes that Rahu and Ketu give the effects of the lord they are in conjunction with and house they are situated in. To which extent they give the effects of their own house, if they are stronger then the other Co-Lord? regards, Yasomatinandana das
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear YND, Why only Rahu and Ketu? All planets are influenced by association. For example, in Guru-Mangala yoga we have Mars giving excellent results whereas Jupiter is neutral. Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Gauranga, What Narasimha has just told you is very vital for any person in ISKCON. Please remember this very carefully. IN THE CHART OF A KRISHNA DEVOTEE, THE MOON MUST BE IN TRINES OR STRONGLY INFLUENCING THE SAME IN THE VIMSAMSA (D-20) CHART. Using this vital information, correct the Lagna degree and then only make predictions/ readings. You will also find the Moon in the ninth in my Vimsamsa Chart. She's really good looking and we got married in my Jup-Ven Dasa. It's also aspected by Mars. What would this mean? 7th in navamsha is Scorpio, with Sun and Moon in it, while Mercury is in the Navamsha Lagna. But I can't figure out the meaning of this. > > > > > Rahu and Ketu influence on lagna, 9th and 12th in D-4 shows living away > > from the place of birth. But I've really spent a lot of time in Russia during my Rahu period. Sanjay Prabhu also said that I would spend a lot of time in India during my Saturn period. I would also like to know a few words about my literary and Jyotishi abilities if you could shed some light on this please. > > Yours, > > Gauranga das > > > ------ > @Backup - The #1 Online Backup Service. Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Gauranga, Seems to be correct data. Other divisions need to be checked. I was always analyzing her chart woth te following data: 1976.7.29 8.30 AM CET (there were no daylight savings) and Budapest (19E04, 47N30). With this borth time she's got Simha Lagna as myself, and Gemini Lagna in D-20, with Jupiter in the 9th from it, aspected by Moon and Venus in the 3rd. Is this the correct birth time then? Her mother remembered it only approximately. She said that she was born between 8.30 and 9.00. > > Your shishya Gauranga das > > > > ------ > > eGroups.com home: varahamihira > - Simplifying group communications > > > >
