Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Ekalavya, Planets give results due to their placement in a Rasi and Bhava. When the planets are placed in the Rasi Sandhi, the planet becomes extremely weak to support the houses it lords and hence the houses ruled by this planet becomes weak and suffers. However when a planet is placed in a Bhava sandhi, the planet's affect of placement in that bhava is almost nill. For example, we all know that Sun's placement in the Lagna Bhava makes the person Bald and have defective eye sight. However, if Sun is placed quite far from the degree of the Lagna, near the sandhi (around 15deg away each side of lagan degree), these effects will not be prominent. Guest guest
Dear Sarbaniji, Vistiji & Rafalji, Namaskaar... I was just going thru the article on Sarbaniji's website on Bhava and Rashi Sandhi..... It appears after reading the article that Bhava and Rashi sandhi are the same....The examples given also do not differentiate between Rashi and Bhava sandhi as far as the degrees of the planets are concerned. I would be happy if I could get some help so as to understand the fundamentals properly. Maybe I require some more help & information on the difference between Rashi and Bhava Sandhi. Guest guest
Dear Sarajitji, Thank you for your prompt response. I have got the idea now. If the Lagna is 10 degrees of say Vrishabha then would the bhava start from 25 degrees of Mesha and end at 25 degrees of Vrishabha. Are all Bhavas equal in size i.e. 30 degrees each or is there any other rule to be followed? And most important of all .....how do we strengthen such planets who are in Rasi Sandhi and lords of important houses like Kendras/Trikonas/ Lagna ? Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Ekalavya, There are various methods of creation of Bhavas. However, I follow the one which my Guru Pt. Rath taught me. The one with equal houses and spanning over 9 navamsas! Since the planet in the rasi sandhi lack the life-force, one way is to worship Shiva with Jyotirlinga Mantras. A lot of information is available on the Jyotirlinga Mantras in the archives, which you can check. Guest guest
Dear Sarajitji, Thank you for your advice. I find that in Sarbaniji's article she writes" The deity of the nakshatra lord is to be propitiated for the solution to this predicament." as a solution for Gandatha palnets. Would this be the solution or should Shiva be worshipped with the mantra for the particular planet in Sandhi as specified in the list of jyotirlinga mantras. Or should one visit the concerned Jyotirlinga temple of the planet in Sandhi and offer prayers there? Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Ekalavya, There can be various kinds of remedies to the same problem. As mentioned by Sarbani, you can propitiate nakshatra deity as well. Jyotirlinga Mantra has the power to exalt a planet. Since the planet under rasi sandhi is quite weak, Jyotirlinga mantras is a good way to strengthen such planet under rasi sandhi. However, we also know that if a planet is badly placed in any nakshatra, propitiating the nakshatra diety can help in removing the blemish due to such placement. You can chose one of them or can do both of them. If you visit the Jyotirlingas, it is extremely good. For that matter visit to any Jyotirlinga is extremely beneficial. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, Dear Sarajit, I would add something if you do not mind. 1. There is a difference and I know that you are aware of it between Nakshatra worship and Jyotirling worship. Jyotirling is important if a planet is rashi sandi (particularly in Riksha Sandhi) causes death of the living significations of the house ruled by it. This is sure to happen if a planet is asura by nature, and karaka of the house is not able to protect it. Another damage occurs on a physiological level. To prevent this Jyotirlinga worship is necessary. When a planet is placed badly in Nakshatra, mentall suffering will take place, thus a worship of a Devi is necessary (Nakshatra Mala is related to Devi-Moon). Further if a planet is afflicted in Jagannath Drekana, a worship of Vishnu Avatar is advised to avoid the bad effects of karma phala, and so on. Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Zoran, Thanks for clarifying it further. You aptly pointed out the suffering of the living significations, which I have mentioned before as lack of life force. Incidentally in our last class only we were discussing about trouble to the relatives based on the rasi sandhi principle. And exactly that is why when lagna lord is placed in rasi sandhi and the Moon is weak and afflicted, the native suffers balarista. As of nakshatra worship, it is always good to worship the nakshatra devata for general protection to the planet from any negative forces. But for rasi sandhi, Jyotirlinga worship is more appropriate. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, Dear Sarajit, I didn't plan to write it more, however, I feel I should add some more. Whatever you say, I fully agree with. One additional thing if you do not mind. During the dasha, particularly antardasha of afflicted planet (badly Placed in nakshatra) worship of Mahavidya in the form of Vimshottari rulership Is advised. For example, If antardasha lord is in Mula Nakshtra, normally We will not worship Nirriti, but Dhumavati, to remove the suffering. That is why During the combustion of Shukra, if it is morning star Bagalamukhi is worshipped While if it is the evening star Kamaladevi is worshipped. Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Zoran, Thanks for the information. This reminds me that Antardasa is like Moon and thats why Dasamahavidya is important, more so when the planets are fallen. So when Shukra is ahead of Sun in combustion, we worship Balagamukhi and when it is behind the Sun we worship Kamalatmika. But why Bagalamukhi, who is signified by Mars? Guest guest
hare rama krsna Dear Zoranji , Namaskar Could You also write how this works with other combusted planet? Regards, Rafal Gendarz Sri Jagannath Center Guru email: rafal SkypeID: jyotraff1 Consultations & Articles: http://rohinaa.com Sarajit Poddar napisa³(a): || Jaya Jagannath || Dear Zoran, Thanks for the information. Whatever you say, I fully agree with. One additional thing if you do not mind. During the dasha, particularly antardasha of afflicted planet (badly Placed in nakshatra) worship of Mahavidya in the form of Vimshottari rulership Is advised. For example, If antardasha lord is in Mula Nakshtra, normally We will not worship Nirriti, but Dhumavati, to remove the suffering. That is why During the combustion of Shukra, if it is morning star Bagalamukhi is worshipped While if it is the evening star Kamaladevi is worshipped. Best Wishes Sarajit On Jan 8, 2008 11:03 AM, Zr <ahimsans wrote: Om Namah Shivaya, Dear Sarajit, I would add something if you do not mind. Since the planet in the rasi sandhi lack the life-force, one way is to worship Shiva with Jyotirlinga Mantras. Bagalamukhi is very powerful in the evening and Kamalatmika in the morning – As for the latter, I recall a comment by Sanjay ji that the Sun could not even break through those clouds (not a good sign) on the day we had to defer classes for two hours while initiation was going on for some in the JS class.
