Guest guest
OM GURAVE NAMAH Dear Ajit, In reality, Vasudeva Kutumbakkam concept makes this world one big family. That is why in the SJVC site we write " Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya " so that we all become one big caring family. Now, the family deity can be different for a girl and that can also be different in the charts of different members of the family. Why? It will depend on their definition of " Family " . If the fourth lord is in the second like in my chart, then I consider everyone at home as " my family " ..the Mother India concept evolves gradually. Now if someone has the 12th Lord in 2nd then the concept of family is different. We worship according to our nature is what the Gita teaches. So, it is our nature that is seen in the Vimsamsa and from this we are to decipher the deity connected with the particular aspect of spirituality. A person without any planets in the second from the Vimsamsa Lagna will not have much focus on family deity while one with four or more planets in the second will be a Saint in regard to the family concept and for him, spirituality willevolve around keeping this family happy. Does anybody in this Class have four or more planets in any house in the Vimsamsa? Guest guest
Om Krishnaaya Namah Dear Sanjay, Hare Krishna. I’m a little confused by one of your statements yesterday: >>A person without any planets in the second from the Vimsamsa Lagna will not have much focus on family deity<< What exactly is meant? I’m thinking that you mean that there will not be much respect/interest for the family deity. Is that correct? Here’s my Vimshamsha: North Indian Style Vimshamsa Chart for Pursottam Dabasia ******************************************************* ** * * ** * * * * * * * * * * * * * VEN * * * * * * * * * * * * * AQU* * SAG* * * PIS** **SCO * * * * LAG * * * * * * * * * * * MAR * * * * * * * * * SAT * * * * CAP * * * * * * * * * * ARI * LIB * * * * * * * * * * CAN * * * * MOO * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TAU** **VIR * * * GEM* * LEO* * * * * * * JUP * * * * * KET * SUN * * * * * RAH * * * * * * MER * * ** * * ** ******************************************************* In COVA, you say that Bhakti is seen in the fifth, mantra is seen in the ninth, and Venus and Jupiter are the significators of Bhakti and Mantra respectively. I try to follow the path of Bhakti to Bhagavan Sri Krishna, and the Moon is exalted in the fifth. Fifth lord and karaka for bhakti is exalted in the third, showing my preference for Bhakti Marga. The Sun (Lord Rama) is in the ninth, while the Moon (Sri Krishna) is in the ninth from Jupiter (mantra). So, the Maha Mantra, and the Janaka Shadakshara, are my mantras. So this all makes sense. What doesn’t make sense to me is that my second is empty, so if I understood your statement correctly I should not have much care for my family deity. Well, in my family, while all demigods and deities are respected, I suppose " Ram and Shyam " have also been my family deities i.e. the same as my Ishta and Mantra deities. So have I understood your statement wrongly? Jaya Jagannatha, Pursottam
