He first became known as an artist in the late 1940s. In 1952, his first solo exhibition was held at Zürich and over the next few years, his work was widely seen in Europe and USA. In 1966, he was awarded the Padma Shree by the Government of India. In the following year, he made his first film, Through the Eyes of a Painter. It was shown at the Berlin Festival and won a Golden Bear. Early years Husain's mother had died when he was an infant. His father remarried and moved to Indore where Husain went to school. In 1935, he moved to Bombay and got admitted to the J J School of Arts. He started off by painting cinema hoardings. He was a struggling artist until his painting was first exhibited in Bombay. Later years Husain went on to become the highest paid painter in India. He has also worked on few movies, including Gajagamini (with his muse Madhuri Dixit who was the subject of a series of his paintings which he signed Fida) and Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities (with Tabu). His autobiography is being made into a movie tentatively titled " The Making of the Painter. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Jyotishas, My few comments on the chart, The chart has Sankranti Dosha. The Birthday (Assumed after Sunrise) lord Is Venus. Atmakaaraka is Mars in Navamsa the 12th from Mars has Saturn in debility could give worship of similar dieties. Trines to Atmkaaraka is Venus Giving Skills in Painting, I think the time could be adjusted to get the Moon in Trines to Venus also. The Tithi of Birth is Navami ruled by Sun, Tithi lord is in Sankranti Dosha with close conjunction with Debilitated Venus. Tithi indicates the Desires of the Individual. Note the Chart has a clear Nala Yoga, Where all grahas are in Dual Signs. Giving very flexible character. All planets in the Dual signs in quadrant gives name across 4 Oceans (Chatusaagara Yoga?). The Arudha Lagna have influence of the Jupiter or Moon to make a person popular. Note that all Dual Signs arudha are falling in Dual Signs. Therefore the lagna could be one of the Dual Signs. Two Graha in Rashi Sandhi, Sun and Jupiter, Thereby destroying significance Leo and Pisces and Saggittarius. One of these signes could be related to 4th for early of mother too. I suggest Virgo Lagna and below given time. Guest guest
|| Om Namo Bhagavate Satyadevaaya || Dear Sanjay, Nitin & Visti, Please call me Sonali (without the ji) too. " 12th from Ak is the natural desires of the soul " " Venus must be afflicted " From this I understand that, the planet in 12th from Karakamsa or lord of that sign, indicates the soul's inclination to a quality represented by that Diety & hence the Worship of that Diety. If this is afflicted then it could give rise to the corresponding bad/evil deeds. So the quality represented by the Diety is the important point here, thats how we can co-relate it with cultures/people who do not puja etc. Please confirm or correct. Thanks. Guest guest
|| Om Namo Bhagavate Satyadevaaya || Dear Sarbaniji, I understand the following, " The deity to who one is drawn to or has attraction/inclination towards, although that deity may not be his or her ishta, should be first seen in the 5th house of the rashi chart. Vimshamsha is one of the charts which will confirm whether worshipping of that deity is indicated for the native or not. " ( & not the 12th from Karakamsa) " the rashi will often help to determine the form of the divine. I do not agree with Saurav's dictum that malefics in the 12th from Karakamsha will show lesser deities. This applies for 5th house matters in the rashi chart. (Ok. But does affliction of good or bad planets in the 12th affect accordingly...example given by Sanjay & Vistiji ?) " ishta is that which we desire most, that is the object of the desire and not the desire itself. " " The planet in the 12th from the Karakamsa is the one who delivers you not only from this birth, but hopefully from many births. It has lost its grahatva and is then a spark of the Divine. In whichever form, he/she/it should be worshipped. Ideally, it is him whom we should desire the most; that is why he is known as the ishta. This ishta is very personal, and can be with or without form " Thank you for explaining.
