Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Namaskar, The following software (Celestia & Stellarium) may be of use to students of jyotisha. Both projects are open source project hosted at Sourceforge.net. I certainly found them very useful in visualising the geocentric and heliocentric movement of planets in realtime over the backdrop of various stars. * Celestia The free space simulation that lets you explore our universe in three dimensions. Celestia comes with a large catalog of stars, galaxies, planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and spacecraft. Current version: 1.4.1 (16 Feb 2006) Main link: http://celestia.sourceforge.net/ Secondary link: http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/ Download link: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=21302 * Stellarium Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
