Guest guest
Dear gurus and students, please accept my respects question 5: Jupiter in 8 could give excellent results because it is in parivartana with Mercury Lord of 5 and 8 in house 11 with the Sun, Lord of 7. Thus Jupiter gives the results of the raja yoga (5th and 7th Lord) in 11. House five is a house of distinction and political power, house seven is a position giver (pada prapti) and house 11 is a house of awards, rewards and fulfillment of hopes. Thus the native was awarded a high position in Jupiter dasha. Jupiter is in the second from the Moon and in the tenth from the Sun which are good placements for wealth and power. More importantly, it is in Ghatika Lagna and is the Lord of Arudha Lagna in the tenth from Arudha Lagna. This should further enhance the good effects of the parivartana with Mercury. The second from AL has exalted Mars and Saturn in sva rashi which is another indicator of wealth and prosperity. Finally, darapada is in the ninth from AL which according to sutra 1.3.18 brings the blessings of Sri Devi (by the way, I know virtually nothing about Jaimini yet but I just looked up the results of AL in the book and chanced upon this sutra and the one about exalted plents in 2 from AL giving wealth and prosperity). In Navamsha Jupiter is in 6 with debilitated Venus, Lord of 2 and 9, and Rahu ( at least per my calculation which I checked in different programs. The example chart NA in the tutorial seems to be wrong, if I am correct). Could it mean that this man could expect litigation about financial matters in Jupiter dasha, even though he attained a big position? The VPRY in 12 caused by 12th and 3rd Lord may not fructify because Saturn and Mars do not seem to be weak. Hare Krishna, Anantarupa
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Arno, Hare Krishna. Srim Klim Radha Krishnabhyam namah Dear Sanjayaji, pranams Thanks for taking the time to give encouraging feedback to my answer to question 5. Of course, you are right with your remark: > How did you get darapada in ninth from AL? It is in the fifth from AL in Aries.< You also mentioned: >In any case srimantah Yoga is present. The conjunction of Lagna Lord with the Lord of the third and both in strength forms Dhimantah yoga as well.< Does that mean that the 3rd Lord is an indicator of intelligence and can be a benefic in that regard (inspite of being the Lord of a duhsthana)? And if the 3rd Lord, as Lord of a duhsthana, is capable of harming, how would it do that? By causing disease or accident? The definition of Srimantah and Dhimantah yoga is given on pages 90-91 in UPSJ. I know you must be terribly busy but may I trouble you with a few more questions? 1) I repeatedly tried to access varahamihira without success. I keep getting the message " oops you are not a member of varahamihira.... " . As a newcomer I am eager to catch up on previous vital information which I missed. How can I do that? This may be if your email address that you use when login onto the Internet is different from the one that you are d to the list. I had the similar problem but asked Narasimha to my login address as well, with the option that messages are not received there. 2) is it possible to purchase your latest book on remedial measures and COVA from Europe? I tried http://members,tripod.co.uk/rath but it seems that this page does not sell your books. Please advise. You may contact Kusha devi dasi in US. vrinda or Sagar publications in India sagarpub 3) I started reading your book on Jaimini´s upadesha sutras and every now and then I have questions. Is it ok to ask such questions on this forum? If the answer is yes, may I pose 2 of them right away? a) In the beginning of the book the term " variable dashas " is coined. Just after that chara dasa and Narayana dasa are mentioned. Are these two dasas different? If yes, where is the calculation and usage of Narayana dasa explained? They are explained in Ch. 2 quarter 4 in UPSJ. b) In your notes you explain the terms Karta, Kevala and Yogada. You mention that Yogada is a planet which at once conjoins/aspects Janma Lagna and Hora Lagna or Janma Lagna and Ghatika Lagna. In this context, does " aspects " include Graha drishti or does it only refer to Rashi drishti? It refers to Rasi Dristi, on Lagna, GL and HL or the 7th from them of a single planet. Maybe ownership may also be considered. Let me also congratulate you on your tutorial on Vipareeta Raja Yoga. As far as I am concerned, your tutorial system is a wonderful way of teaching since one benefits not only from the experience and wisdom of the teachers but also from the comments of intelligent students and this forum seems to have plenty of both. " The gift of learning, the gift of land and the gift of a cow are the most excellent of charitable gifts. Among all gifts the gift of Vidya (learning) is of specifically distinct merit. By the gift of vidya one attains identity with Vishnu. " (Narada Purana 1.13.100-101) Respectfully Arno (Anantarupa) Yours, Gauranga das
