Dear Raja,

 

I gather from your old mail below that your query was regarding financial difficulties. Please see the 11th lord from lagna for the remedy. The 11th lord is Mercury badly afflicted by Sun, Rahu and AK Saturn in the house of wealth. The Sun, the harbinger of resources, is squashed by Rahu. To top it all Rahu is debilitated. And you are running the mahadasha of the Atmakaraka. Suffering! Please worship Vishnu. The terrible curse on Mercury will lift.

 

Incidentally, your ishta devata planet is Mars and the palana devata, the one who nurtures and sustains is Mercury.

If I may ask questions from time to time, in my case very basic ones, perhaps members/Gurus would be gracious and answer, I would be very grateful...I am trying to learn by following the MP3s of Sanjay ji's lectures plus materials I have found on various other "affiliated" sites eg Freedom ji, PVR Rao ji etc.

 

Regarding the post below, Visti ji says Devi/Mother is the Ista Devata (12th house from AK has Saturn in it). Somewhere I read that Ista Devata should be prayed to in the appropriate form of one of Vishnu Das Avatars. How to decide when Ista Devata should be in one of Vishnu 10 avatars and when say like in the case below more ecompassing Devi form? Are there instances where the Ista devata is a specific roopa of Mother?

Regarding mantras as remedies. If a rajasic remedy eg. wearing a gemstone can be "wrong" remedy and give negative results if the wrong gem is worn, can the same be said of mantra remedies too, even though they are sattvic?

When an appropriate mantra is chosen by looking at the number of letters and syllables in it to take the energy from a particular house to strengthen another house; does that weaken the house that the energy comes from? If it does weaken the house then does that mean that if you want to eg strengthen 3rd house and use a 3-3-3 mantra the energy is coming from the devata and not another house?I have lots more questions but I don't want to annoy you all! Dear Sarbani ji,

 

This is off the point but, interestingly, when you were doing this chart with the wrong data during the same time I also happen to do one chart with wrong data but luckily for me when I was about to send it my wife sneezed and said check it carefully and pointed out the mistake in the data. But see the grace of our Ista Devetas that in my case also the remedy remained the same in spite of wrong data.

However, the 11th lord from lagna in Raja Perry's chart still happens to be Mercury and answer remains the same, that is, he has to worship Vishnu. Mercury also happens to be his darakaraka, the giver of wealth. The Sun also is afflicted by Rahu both is rashi and navamsha.

 

The ishta devata is Moon in Cancer! And in rashi its in lagna in Scorpio! It is very much the Divine Mother! That is the perfect choice.

As for mantras as remedies, yes indeed that book Vedic Remedies by

Sanjayji is one of the books I have ordered and am waiting for!

Thank you, Moon representing Mother and in own house and 12th from AK

in navamsha, I understand as representing the Divine Mother. However,

I don't understand the significance of moon in lagna in scorpio. But I

am very much new to this so thats no surprise!

 

In another post of yours you say about how 5th house can show which

devata we find appealing and would like to worship. Does that

translate to any devata represented by that planet? eg Rahu

representing Durga etc? And Visti ji said that its about understanding

the nature of the devata leading us to the light of Vishnu.

 

I have rahu in 5th in rasi and am wondering if that is why I am drawn

to Durga/Mother. (Moon is also in own house in rasi chart. Moon is AK

and aquarious is the 12th house from AK in navamsha which makes Koorma

Devata my Ishata devata. Koorma Devata is also my palan devata.

 

So perhaps I need some of Mother's grace to lead me to my Ishta devata?
