Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Gurudeva, Pranaams. I was thinking about the assignment with the Ayana of the planets. You have said thent almost all of us got this wrong. Maybe this was because we tried to see the position of the planets as if the were all the Sun. You have said that the Sun was in Uttarayana (moving to the North in the Latitude) from Capricorn to the end of Cancer (Nirayana) and moving to the south during the other half of the zodiac. So this Uttaryana and Daksinayana mainly refers to the Latitude of the planets. So I guessed than we should see the latitude and if it decreases in the southern hemisphere or increases in the northern, then the planet is in Uttarayana, and if increases in the southern or decreases in the northern, then hte planet is in Daksinayana. So I looked up in the ephemeris, and Sun, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter are in Daksinayana, Venus and Mercury are in Uttarayana, and I didn't know how to judge the Moon's position as no details are given for the Moon. Please evaluate. Your shishya, Gauranga das
