Guest guest
Jai Shri Jagannath! Pranaam Gurudeva, I do not have Saravali with me (I will place an order immediately). I failed to find references for Twins in BPHS and in B.V Raman's books. I looked up 'Jaimini Upadesa Sutras'. Pretty much what you said in the mail below is in there... *********** 3.4.52. " If the Adhana Lagna (Conception ascendant) or it's Navamsa is in Pisces or Scorpio, there could be birth of twins, triplets etc. " Note (i) ...This stanza presupposes the strength of the Varnada Lagna as given in the previous stanza (Previous stanza is given below) Note (ii) Generally for the birth of twins the dual signs should be involved in Rasi and Amsa. The conjunction of the Lord of the third house with the Lord of the ascendant also indicates the birth of twins or more depending on the number of planets aspecting Previous Stanza mentioned in Note (i) above is as follows... 3.4.51. " If Benefics/Malefics conjoin/aspect the third house from Varnada lagna predict increase/decrease of co-born " Note: (i) The Varnada lagna is used for judging longevity. If Malefics are in Trines to Varnada Lagna, the pregnency itself maybe in jeopardy. The third house from the Varnada lagna indicates younger co-born of the foetus (that are yet to come). If Benefics conjoin/aspect there will be more children to come while malefics cause abortion/death. Similarly the parents are seen from the fourth (mother) and ninth (father) from Varnada Lagna as already existing co-borns are seen from the eleventh house. Note: (ii) 'Prathama Varna' means Varnada of the first house or Varnada Lagna. *********** My Rasi Chart has ------------- Asc, Ke and MeR in Libra Ve and Su in Scorpio SaR in Aquarious Mo in Pisces Rh in Aries JuR in Cancer Ma in Virgo Saptamsa chart has -------- Asc, Ke, MeR, Ma, JuR in Pisces Su in Gemini Ve in Cancer SaR in Leo Rh in Virgo Mo in Scorpio It fits well with the rules you had given...Counting 5th anti-zodiacally (as Pisces, sapthamsa lagna is Even), we get Scorpio. Lord(s) of scorpio (both Mars and Ketu) are in the ascendant with the ascendant lord and Mercury. Both factors as you mentioned , Scorpio and Dual sign (Pisces) are activated... I have few Questions regarding the above... 1) To calculate Varnada Lagna for the above Sapthamsa chart, would the count to the ascendant be 1 or 12? 2) Which of the two (Ma and Ke) Lords will be considered as Lord of the children's lagna (If we assume Scorpio is the lagna for children) 3) Is my assumption about Dual sign correct? Because, you mentioned only Mercury's Gemini and Virgo to indicate twins in your earlier mail. 4) Can the Lord of the child's placement in Scorpio and Aquarious alone be considered to indicate multiple births, or should there be more rules confirming the same? Because, lord of a house falling in one of the said two houses should be quiet common, right? Please accept my apologies, if I made any errors in the above, and please correct me respectfully, -Suresh. varahamihira , " Sanjay Rath " <srath@v...> wrote: > Jaya Jagannath > Dear Suresh, > Also add your Rasi and Saptamsa for this reading. Guest guest
OM KRISHNA GURU Dear Pt Sanjay Rath, >Which are the signs that can indicate two children? These can be either >Mercury the Dual planet owning Gemini (Twins of opposite sex) or virgo. It >can also be Scorpio and aquarius which are lorded by two planets. I have Mercury in own sign Gemini (12th in rasi), same in Saptamsa, lord of 2nd, Merc in own sign, which is also lord of 5th, indicating first child. My wife has same, retrograde Mercury in 3rd in Scorpio, with Saptamsa lagna Gemini, with Mercury in it, and Moon in 9th in Aquarius, which in Rasi is aspected by Rahu also. But Rahu in Saptamsa is in 12th, Saturn in 11th, aspecting Merc as well in rasi as in saptamsa. Does this indicate we will have twins, but maybe one will not survive? With Best Wishes, Your servant, Dhira Krsna dasa
Guest guest
ohm maha ganaadhipatayae namaha Pranam Gurudeva, I tried looking in Saravali for the combination that give twins. I could not find any. Can you please direct me to find it. I tried finding in Chapter 34 (where Mitra, Putra and Satru chintana is given). In Putra chinta, few combinations are given to point of kshetraja, oushaja, apavriddha, datta, goodha putra. Did not understand the chapter fully. I have quite a few questions in this chapter. your shishya, vijay. - Sureshbabu Chandra <sruthi98 <varahamihira > Thursday, September 07, 2000 6:40 AM [sri Guru] Re: Saptamsa Lesson - A Question > > Jai Shri Jagannath! > > Pranaam Gurudeva, > > I do not have Saravali with me (I will place an order immediately).
