Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Hari, Namaste and thank you very very much for this lovely gesture. I am sure that you have read in satcharitra that seeing Baba's picture(or any yogi's/spiritual master's, for that matter) is equal to seeing those holy men in flesh and blood! Thanks to you, we all had darshan of Baba today. Coincidentally, today has been Baba's day through and through. In the morning, I was discussing some aspects of Sai Satcharitra with my younger son. Since Sasank is down with jaundice and has been at home for the past one month, I started him on reading Sai Satcharitra and the 11year old is predictably full of questions. In the afternoon, i casually switched on the TV and lo and behold, a song featuring Baba was there! Then i logged onto internet and found the marvelous photograph you've so affectionately shared with us! Before I could type a reply, power was cut...so my reply was delayed. Perhaps not without a reason! In the evening, a friend of my elder son had brought prasad and vibhuti from Shirdi and gave it to me and said that he had donated Rs.101/- as dakshina to Baba from our side and collected the same from me! Perhaps today, in a way, I have experienced the entire gamut of nava-vidha bhakti Baba talked about so often! Though it is not the first time that I have felt the overwhelming love of Baba, I still feel overcome with emotion. I am sure you too feel the same. I found great similarity of expression and demeanour between Baba and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, in the photograph you have sent. The Baba i remember was older.. his face was much more lined and wizened but the eyes were equally enigmatic and inscrutable! May Baba bless you with a beautiful and loving companion! With affectionate regards, Lakshmi Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddi wrote: om gam gajavaktraaya namah Dear Smt Lakshmi, Namaste. Whenever I think about Sai, I think about Lakshmi also and I suppose thats a compliment in itself!!! I have seen a few photos of Shirdi Sai Baba but never one so close up as this one! It appears to be genuine. In this photo, the eyes are staring into eternity in two different directions! Your mail was quite interesting. Thanks for the blessings. regards Hari PS: Kind attention: The photo has been uploaded into the files section of sohamsa. Please download it from there. PPS: Dont thank me...I am only a nimitta.
