Guest guest
... hamsasso.aham.. As per the Kapali Institute’s publication of the RV, the version below is missing a leading udatta (trya\’mbakam). But even then, there seems to be a slight difference in swaras between this version and the one found in the Taittiriya Samhita.              ajit sohamsa [sohamsa ] On Behalf Of Sanjay Prabhakaran Monday, October 31, 2005 7:46 AM sohamsa Re: MahaMrityunjaya Mantram (SJC website) || Om Gurave Namah || Namaste, I verified with Rig veda 7-59-12 Web version at http://sanskrit.gde.to/mirrors/rigveda/e-text.htm and there too the version is as per Sourav's reference. Guest guest
... hamsasso.aham .. Dear Sarajit, I honestly don’t know. The word “sugandhim” seems to appear only once in both the Rig and Taittiriya shakas, so it is difficult to crosscheck. Voja, why would its appearance in the Rk and Yajur vedas explain the difference? Before the codification by Veda Vyasa, there was presumably only one ‘stream’ of mantras. ajit sohamsa [sohamsa ] On Behalf Of Voya Traykovic Tuesday, November 01, 2005 7:35 AM sohamsa Re: MahaMrityunjaya Mantram (SJC website) Om namaste ganapataye Dear Sarajit, yes, this difference in swaras could be due to its appearance in two different Vedas, Rk and Yajur. Guest guest
Om namaste ganapataye Dear Ajit, I said "could be", I'm not sure, can't state. As I know sometimes there are little differences in text, not only in svaras in some texts appearing in two sakhas. Maybe I'm wrong... I attach audio record of Mahamrityunjaya mantra correct both in text and svaras according to what I have found in more then one version of Rigveda. Best regards, Voja ... hamsasso.aham ..
