Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya is an ancient mantra and its reference can be found in 'Narayano Upanishad'. Check this in 'RamaKrishna Mission's 'Mantra Pushpam'. This mantra finds its reference in vedas at many places. So... No offense here to followers of Ramanuja sampradaya - Ramanuja is a great devotee of Vishnu. But he is not seer of this mantra. Guest guest
Hello, I do not have easy access to this resource. I know that Markendaya speaks with Jaimini in Narasimha Purana. But I believe it was Narada taught the Ashtakshari mantra OM NAMO NARAYANAYA to Prahlada. , Visti Larsen <visti wrote: > > ??? ??? ????? > Dear Sir, Namaskar. > I think you can find the answer to this in the Narasimha Purana in the > story about Markendeya getting the advise to do Tapas from the Rishis. > Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen > ---------- > Jyotish Guru (Vedic Astrologer) > www: http://srigaruda.com > @: visti > > sbm_sharma skrev: > > > > Hello, > > > > If anybody can answer it would be much appreciated. > > > > Who is the Rishi/Seer for Om Namo Narayanaya? > > > > Is it Ramanujacharya? Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Mr.Sharma, Narada Purana/Garuda Purana says that the rishi of the mantra " Om Namo Narayanaya " is " Narayana Rishi " , Metre being " Gayatri " & Devata is Vishnu. Narayana rishi may be Lord Narayana himself or one of the rishis of " Nara & Narayana " . I hope this helps. Thank you, Gaurav. http://gauravastro.150m.com , " sbm_sharma " <sbm_sharma wrote: > > Hello, > > If anybody can answer it would be much appreciated. > > Who is the Rishi/Seer for Om Namo Narayanaya? > > Is it Ramanujacharya?
