Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Sunil, I am not interested in another net address. I am interested in the Jyotisha in this GJ List of my best friend Goravani. What will that link tell me? Another quote from the Valmiki Ramayana giving the star positions at the time of Sri Rama. Or maybe if the astrologer was more enlightened, he will be able to give the charts of Bharata, Laxman and Satrughana as well (I wonder how many know this)!. I wanted you to catch the truth here. My good friend MASTER-MU has been speaking so much about Lagna Nakshatra. So, I thought that I could add a line in her support out here. Although the advocation for Lagna Nakshatra alone is quite off the mark, asctually the Shastra gives atleast four options for picking up the constellation that will start the Vimsottari Dasa. Lagna Nakshatra is just one of these options, with the highest weightage in the case of doubt being given to the Moon's constellation. NOW SOME MATHEMATICS: Even if the Sun was in Zero degree of Aries (Minimum point) and the Moon in 3Deg 20 Min of Cancer (Highest degree of Punarvasu), then the Maximum angle possible is 93 Deg 20 Min and the Maximum tithi would Astami (8). Hence, mathematically, the chart and tithi do not match. Thus, there has been some terrible misunderstanding of Valmiki's teachings. THE ONLY OTHER ALTERNATIVE IS TARA DASA WHICH IS AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION OF VIMSOTTARI DASA. It is exactly the same as Vimsottari, but starts from the Lagna instead of the Moon. This happens when the Lagna is very strong with planets in quadrants. Thus, since we find that there are FIVE planets in quadrants in the chart of bhagawan Sri Rama and that four of these are exalted, the Lagna becomes far too powerful and the Nakshatra mentioned by Valmiki should be Lagna nakshatra. I am open to criticism and discussions. Hare Krishna Sanjay Rath P.S.
