There are two books that I would recommend- The Bhagavad-Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam- this is where you will find the story about Rahu And Ketu, etc. Not all translations are good .I suggest you get some that are translated by a liberated soul like A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami (Srila Prabhupada).If you are interested I can help you get them. In addition, if you or anyone is interested in THE Mahabharata ,I have some of those available that I am selling at a little above cost.Please contact me privately if interested. You are on the right track in getting some spiritual and philosophical background in conjunction with your astrology.
