doubts regarding ishta/kashta phala and benefic/malefic

Hi Gurus,

 

I am using Jagannatha Hora software. I am a Capricorn ascendent. For

my birth chart, I got the following

 

Venus: Lord of 5th and 10th.

Ishta phala score : 17.66

Kashtaphala score : 27.99

 

Venus is natural and functional benefic in my chart. It is placed in

it's own house of Libra. Still, the shadbala score shows more -ve than

+ve. Is there a correlation between functiona/natural beneficence and

shadbala score?

 

And also I have a doubt regarding the strength of shadbala score. I

think higher shadbala score does not affect the functional

malefic/benefic effects. Can someone confirm this?
