108 Senses

Namaste,

This week I happened to read an article Satguru Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimai discussing various subject matter.

In the article he discusses 108 senses in the body, yet does not give examples of the other 98 I am not aware of e.g.we typically read of 10 senses - the 5 Gyaanindri and 5 Karmindri or the 10 Indriyas.

 

We have discussed in our previous lessons the Mahabhutas ( Tatwa) of akasha, agni, prithvi, vayu and jala.

Can anyone comment on the 108 senses... this would line up to the 108 divisions of Navamsa, 108 Upanishads, etc.
