Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Namaste Jyotishas, In regards to Ayanamsha, I think 2 concepts need be understood well 1. Precession of Earth 2. Movement of Sapta Rishi. These are the 7 Seven Sages. Who point the path to Narayana. All bodies in the world move and nothing is permenent in this changing world. The knowledge of Rishi's are needed to understand the Unchanging in the world. So I think movement of Sapta Rishis is essential to be understood. The stars in the sky move in groups and some stars from North to South have similar movement. Even if stars move in different direction their mid point will be more or less stable. If you note the methods to note the Yuga in texts like Bhagavat Purana's, Brihat Samhita etc. They tell you take the mid point of the last two of the Sapta Rishi. Even if the individual sapta rishi's move in different direction the mid point remain more or less stable. I collected few notes which I wish to share, http://sanjayprabhakaran.blogspot.com/2005/11/precession-of-earths-rotation.html http://sanjayprabhakaran.blogspot.com/2005/08/sapta-rsi.html Warm Regards Sanjay P
