Dear Moninder

Every planet whether benefic or malefic behaves due to its placement,

ownership, state and yogas. Planet can be in a particular sector or

nakshtara pada and that gives the results also.

Now what we have to do is see the fundamentals

Planets dont give results througout life, unless it is some kind of

general yoga like Nabhasa.

Results of planets are felt in dasas. So take any dasa or antardasa

and divide it into four parts.

If malefic then state, yogas, ownership and placement are the results

given in four parts

If benefic then reverse

It is all about the nature of the planet involved.

Generally placement is more important(bhava) than lordship, because

if lordship were important then all sagi lagnas would have been liars.

and all aries lagnas rich.

Best wishes

partha

question regarding how to interpret good or bad effects of a house

which contains or is aspected by many planets. For instance, the 5th

house in my chart contains 4 planets, which makes it difficult for

me to understand how to interpret the many different combinations

that occur. I have Pisces lagna, and the 5th house conjoins Sun,

Mercury, Saturn, and Venus. So the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th,

and 12th lords are all in the same house. How does one understand the

effect of all these planets on each other, and on the 5th house? On

top of that, the 5th house receives argala from Moon and Mars who are

in the 6th house, Jupiter who is in the 2nd house, as well as

Rahu/Ketu who are in the 8th/2nd houses. So the 5th house either

conjoins or receives argala from every planet in the chart! It seems

that every house in the chart is somehow related to the 5th, and I'm

finding it very difficult to analyze. Does one look at every pairwise

combination of the planets and try to synthesize the different

results, or would those results be superceded by some other yoga I'm

unaware of?

Dear Partha-ji,

Thank you for your help. I have a question - how would one deal with

the results of a rasi based dasa like say, Narayana Dasa? Now for the

rasi containing many planets, wouldn't all of them be involved

together in determining the outcome of the rasi, along with any

aspects/argalas? In a case like that, how would somebody decide the

nature of the dasa rasi?

Thanks,

Moninder

Dear Sourav-ji,

Thank you very much for your reference to these notes. These notes are

incredible btw, you and your fellow students have done a great service

by making them publically available.

Thanks again,

Moninder
