As Sanjay also has taught before, Rahu in exalted in Taurus, makes it a strong materialistic Malefic, however in Gemini makes it more incline to auspicious influences of spirituality.

 

However all planets can excert good and bad. The most highly esteemed saints, have a predominance of Rahu as Chara Atmakaraka, thus showing that Rahu brings the person closer to Atman, which is an interesting story all together.

Jaya JagannathDear Lakshmi Devi, In Hinduism, we do not have a concept of SATAN and every atma, no matterhow evil or diabolical, is still an Atma and deserves the Mercy of Bhagavan.Rahu by nature indicates Karma that is opposed to Dharma. Thus if Rahu isopposed to your Arudha (Being in 7th from it) or secretly inimical andcausing losses in the 12th from AL, then the person is spisitual as he isnot moved by the temptations of Rahu and sticks to the spiritual path. Rahuas such is not spiritual, but in certain places as indicated above it showsthat the person is spiritual as Rahu is inimically disposed to the person. In the 12th from AK, it shows Durga. Now, if a planet as evil as Rahubecomes the AK and starts teaching about God etc, then can we say that he isstill evil? No, definitely not. Bhakta Prahalad was born in a demoniacalfamily and was Rakshasa by Birth, yet He is considered among the foremostVaishnava. Thus the bith or presence of Rakshasa Yoga does not make a personanti-God like Satan. Satan does not exist and is a creation of the conceptof FEAR. Rahu gives Materialism. If Rahu himself teaches spirituality being the

atmakaraka, who else is going to give materialism. But Rahu gives

spirituality after much problems and pain in matrialistic life unlike

Jupiter who gives the attitude of detachment hence setbacks in material

life wouldn't cause much pain.
