Others can answer your query using their approaches. I will answer it using my

approach.

 

Lagna is in Aries. Jupiter is within one degree from lagna. Jupiter owns 9th and

12th. So things related to guru or foreign trips can be behind a prasna at such

time. Moreover, lagna lord is in 12th in a watery sign. This can also suggest

that prasna is about a foreign trip. Influence of Jupiter on lagna and Pisces on

lagna lord suggests that the prasna relates to something saattwik (contrast this

with my example 2 in a previous post).

 

The query passes the sanity check. So the query time quoted is reasonably

accurate.

Let me illustrate another concept now.

 

Lagna shows the native. In my article on arudhas in EST of Jan 2000, I mentioned

that arudha padas of houses show the maya (illusions) of the world about the

native. Before concluding, I made a passing comment that the illusions of the

world about the native are only one side of the maya and the other side is the

illusions of the native about the world. Without elaborating further, I

commented that the arudha padas of planets show this maya.

 

Arudha pada of a planet is computed the same way as arudha pada of a house.

Count signs from the planet to the stronger sign owned by it (use the same rules

used for Narayana dasa for now). Count the same number of signs from the sign.

You get the arudha of the planet. If arudha is in 1st or 7th from the planet,

count the 10th from what was computed above.

 

If you compute planet arudha chart, it show the illusions of the native. In

other words, it shows the thinking of the native!!!

 

Because the arudha of 2nd lord Venus is in 6th house Virgo (debilitation sign of

Venus) with the arudhas of Rahu and Ketu, the native feels that he has financial

tightness. Because the arudha of Sun is in the 8th house, the native may feel

that he has some pressure from authorities against this India trip.

 

Native's illusions (thinking) are shown by the arudhas of planets. OTOH, the

actual planets show the truth. Moon is exalted in 2nd and 2nd contains upapada

lagna (UL) and A5. So some financial help can come from mother or wife or a

daughter.

There is an easarpha (bad yoga) between Mars and Jupiter. That is bad. But

Jupiter's placement in lagna so closely is excellent. Gurupada's lord Sun is in

11th with an ithasala with Jupiter and Mars and that is good (particularly

because Sun is slower moving than Mars and Jupiter). In D-20, 9th lord is in 9th

and lagna lord Mercury and lagna lord in rasi (Mars) are in trines to him. This

is favorable for meeting one's spiritual guru. In D-24 also, 9th lord Venus

aspects lagna (graha drishti). This is favorable for meeting guru in person and

getting some knowledge from him.

 

Overall, my assessment is that the prasna chart is favorable and that the

financial situation may not be not as tight as you think. A lady (Moon) may help

in finances.

 

Timing is tough to get. I am not an expert in timing with prasna. But usually,

lunar influence indicates near term. Mercurian, venusian, solar and martian

influences show further away. Saturn shows long delays.

 

Here Saturnine influence on lagna can indicate frustration and delays. But Venus

is the planet that promises meeting guru in D-20 and D-24. So it should not be

too far. I am sorry I cannot time it precisely. When Sun and/or Mars transit in

Leo (which contains Gurupada - A9 - in prasna chart), the chance may be higher.

 

Another comment: Because 9th lord in rasi, Jupiter, has nodal influence in D-4

and Saturnine influence in rasi chart and because he is in Ketu's constellation

in a chara rasi, there is some chance of your guru visiting US instead of you

going to India to see him.

 

Good luck in your quest to meet your guru! I hope that you will be able to meet

your guru this year.
