Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna. Fellow members, This is my first message in this esteemed discussion group. I have recently been accepted as a student by Pt. Narasimha. Is there a method by which we can figure out what Dasha System will be the most appropriate for a horoscope? I have always struggled with finding the right Dasha system. Regards, Shashank
Guest guest
Dear Shashank, Welcome to SJVC. What you asked is not an easy question to answer. There are a lot of missing links and research is needed. When using multiple dasas, there are 3 aspects: (1) When a dasa works (2) What a dasa shows (3) How dasa is interpreted Some dasas are conditional. For example, read Sanjay's lessons in the Files section of archives to see when Astottari dasa works, when Vimsottari dasa from Moon's star works and when Vimsottari dasa from the 5th star from Moon's star works. Similarly, Parasara gave several conditional nakshatra dasas along with the conditions of their applicability. Some of these need further research. But one of Vimsottari dasa and Ashtottari dasa applies in most charts, unless the stronger of lagna and Moon has planets in all quadrants from it. Moola dasa works always. Narayana dasas (of rasi chart and divisional charts) form an extensive system of dasas (of which Chara dasa is a part) and they work always. There are several other rasi dasas that work in all charts, but they show only specific matters. For example, Niryana Shoola dasa shows death, Drigdasa shows religious activities and spiritual vision, Sudasa shows prosperity and so on. This subject is an ocean and we will learn it one drop at a time.
