Dear Vistiji,

Namaskar.

You wrote "... count the fourth weekday (including the nodes) from the planets.

Sun=Mercury, and Jupiter=Rahu..."

1- So Sunday is co-lorded by Rahu, am i correct?

2- Which vara does Ketu lord?

And what is the source for that?

I am asking because I couldn't find an anwer in BPHS, nor in the SJC lessons or your JF. I thought it could have to do with the tattwa ruling the day but it doesn't work.

Thank you!

Dear Pierre-Olivier,

Namaskar

In the vara

chakra the nodes are placed right after Saturday, and this is also the standard

order mentioned in the shastras, i.e. from Sun to Saturn and followed by Rahu

and Ketu in that order.

This vara

chakra is used for many things. For example: If Jupiter and Rahu join in second

from arudha lagna its supposed to give dental problems. Here the reasoning is

that any planets joined the nodes will give problems to the sixth graha from

that planet.

Lets try:

1. Jup (Thursday),

2. Venus (Friday),

3. saturn (Saturday),

4. Rahu,

5. Ketu

6. Sun (Sunday).

So the Sun is hit when Jupiter and Rahu join, and thus the teeth (asthi dhatu –

ruled by Sun) are damaged/crooked.

Another

example: If Venus and Ketu join, it gives dental problems.

Lets try

again:

Venus (Friday)

Saturn (Saturday)

Rahu

Ketu

Sun (Sunday)

Moon (Monday)

So the moon

will be affected. This makes sense as the moon is rakta-dhatu and rules the blood.

So Jaimini must be very smart?

Best

wishes,
