Guest guest
Hare Krishna. All glories to Sri Sri Guru & Gauranga. All glories to Sri Sri Radha & Krishna. My name is Luis Carrera, and I'm from Costa Rica. Maybe Gauranga dasa prabhu, or some other may give a check to this. Thanks. 1. Try to define the role of God in your life. R/ I always have been seeking for the Real Truth since I have memory, and I always have been differente from my partners in school. God, I think, was important since there was too many things that I can't understand, but the western perspective of God doesn't fit at all with all the injustice that exists in the world. So I have an atheistic perspective, until I met the Hare Krishna movement, and for the endless mercy of Srimati Radharani, I could met the followers of Srila Prabhupada, and they show me the way to serve Srila Prabhupada's mission, and I'm atempt to do so. Since then, Krishna has become a very important part in my life. A lot of times (O my mind!), I don't know if it's the complete Truth, but what I really know, is that I don't want to serve another Lord but Him. Sometimes I realize that I have become a servant of Maya devi, and with all respect to her, I ask her to let me adore Krishna, since there is no reason in my life but Him. Then, ¿what is the role of Krishna in my life? He has been changed everything in me. He is breaking again and again the limited image that I make of Him, and He is showing me, the way to get the Real Truth, but my mind couldn't follow as good as He deserves. For that I ask humble all of you for your blessings that I could be a servant of the servant of Srila Prabhupada. 2. What have you done in the past one year to come closer to God? R/ I have been trying to be far a way from Maya; to be closer of the devotees; to be closer to who I want to serve and follow as spiritual master. 3. Wich statement is more relevant: a. God is all, or b. All is God. R/ I really don't know. What I have read from Srila Prabhupada, I don't remember to read some of that statements. The first is nearly to said that Krishna is present in all as Paramatma. The second one to said that everything emanates from Krishna, since He is the original source of everything. Both of them are truth, and I don't remeber that Prabhupada said that one is more relevant than other. Like some that want to be a devotee, what I consider, is that both are very important. The first one help me to see other as Vishnu, and develop mercyfulness to all the living entities, and help them to serve Krishna. The second one is important because if everything emanates from Krishna, everything belongs to Him, so that helps me to develop the conscius that I have to use everything for His service. 4. How is the role of a Jyotish different from a priest? R/ The priest is the person who teaches other to serve Krishna, and surrender to Him, and not depend on nothing else. Someone who fully surrender Krishna doesn't use astrology for himself. But for the rest of the jivas who can not surrender to Krishna, then they could ask for help to a Jyotish, so the Jyotish could help them to develop Krishna Consciouness, making some things less dificult, so they could be less entangled in this material world, and could dedicate more time in service to Krishna. Learning to be a servant of the Srila Prabhupada's movement: Luis.

Truly, most of us are so much in ignorance, that we don't even understand what is the cause of our suffering and why caused us to be born in this world full of suffering. Indeed, a true Jyotish would always lead his clients closer to God as much as possible. The real remedy to all sufferings lies in serving and worshiping Sri Krishna, as he says in Bhagavad-gita (sarvadharmaan parityajya maam ekam sharanam vraja aham tvaam sarva-paapebhyo mokshayishyam maa sucah) Don't worry, He will protect you.
