How does the AL calculation change if the Lagna Lord

is in exchange with another planet.

In my case my Lagna (Gemini) lord Mercury is in 6th

(Scorpio) and Ketu and Saturn are in Lagna. Mars

(co-lord of Scorpio) is Retro and in 11th(Aries). I'm

taking Ketu is stronger than Mars as it is with Saturn

in Kendra.

Now with Merc and Ketu in exchange should my AL be in

11th (6th from 6th) or 10th (1st from 1st = 1st and

special case, 10th from 1st).

 

Also if i wear Emerald will it strengthen Mercury as

6th Lord (due to its exchange with Ketu)?
