Guest guest
Why quote halfway, and leave out " if Saturn aspects the 3rd and the 9th they gain strength", from the same shloka of Bhavartha Ratnakar? This means that even harm to bhava aspected, by Saturn, is not across board. Anyway, what I quoted is from Daivagya Ranjan and known to most of earlier generation astrologers and I am sure even Chandubhai Patel knows that. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Sunil, Namaste Only if Saturn occupies a sign owned by a malefic - the waning Moon, Mercury that conjoins a malefic eg., Sun) and Mars or course or with Rahu or Ketu. The 7th from it gets 100% strength from where it occupies hence we now look at 2 houses that can be afflicted by Saturn's presence. The aspects which are the 3rd and 10th get 25% (refer to BPHS). Like that, when during the Rasi Dasa (Narayan Dasa) of an the Sign, Aries, if is occupied by Saturn (in inimical Sign) the 7th aspect from Saturn (by the way, becomes friendly) and the 3rd and the 10th as well becomes friendly... hence the 7th aspect is something to look forward to during the antardasa of Libra only if it is occupied by a benefic (especially its friend Venus). If it is empty, then basic significations are indicated. BTW, which version do you have? love, Swee On Sunday, November 19, 2006, at 06:29PM, " suniljohn_2002 " <suniljohn_2002 wrote: > >OM Datta Guru > >Hi, > > contra to sani, where sani maintains his >> > house placement but weakens his aspects) > > Chapter 13- Titled 'Ordinary Combinations ' Shloka 7 of Bharvatha >Ratnakara which says > > " The house which is OCCUPIED or aspected by Saturn becomes defective > >Rgs > >SJ > > > > > , Chandrashekhar ><sharma.chandrashekhar wrote: >> >> Dear Gaurav, >> >> I am a student of astrology like everybody else, may be for some what >> more number of years. Guest guest
Om Datta Guru Who said I am quoting half way or half the shloka, in Ramans translation of Bharvata Ratnakara Chapter 13 the shloka I quoted is Shloka 7, whereas the shloka u are quoting is shloka No 8, maybe we are using versions of different translators. A) I wasn't commenting on what u wrote, I hardly read mails on website, I had copied the exact words from Gaurav Jains email & posted the views of BR (Bhavartha Ratnakara) B) I have been thinking from some time as to why Sats aspect on the3rd & 9th houses is not harmful rather strengthening, not getting a clear answer, good u reminded me of my query. C) Coming back to my mail it was to present a different view of Ramanuja compared to Jains mail that according to BR Shani does spoil the Bhava it is placed in. Guest guest
Dear Shailesh, No it is indeed 3rd and 9th. Personally, I think the author is talking about the 3rd aspect of Saturn from Lagna and 7th house respectively. Chandrashekhar. Shailesh C Chadha wrote: A typo????? B) . . . . .
