Guest guest
Dear Bipin, I recommend Monier-Williams. It's a huge book but the best and comprehensive among that which is easily available. I have seen a 2 volume set with red cover a while back in the local library, but its no longer there for me to get the publisher's details. I know there are electronic ones available, but there is nothing better than paging through a book of that nature Regards Bipin
Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Sarbani Namaste Thanks for your recommendation – I had purchased this book from India. A note for others reading this, make sure you buy the Sanskrit to English version as you also get an English to Sanskrit version Best Wishes Bipin On Behalf Of Sarbani Sarkar 19 July 2006 12:00 PM RE: [Jaya Jagannatha] Sanskrit Dictionary Dear Bipin, I recommend Monier-Williams.
