Dear Partha,

Astrology is a science of logically guessing wrongly, isn't it? Unless one's a Swee or Sanjay or Partha :o)

I asked myself which direction you were headed, and cast a prasna (twas my birth time, intriguingly). Cancer arose with tis lord hugging west, just as the D-9 lagna lord Ju was. Both these LLs lingered on either side of west, so I was unsure whether you'd be slightly south or north of west, but it'd be tending more north, I'd imagine, since Mo was 26 Aq...

Now I'm ready to hear you say you're traveling eastward :o)

Respects,

Dear Rama

I was guessing that you know. I mean usage of LL for finding the direction.,

In this context let me share a dream that i had two years ago. Very strange dream

There were two parts for it

a) I was little old looking, wearing casuals and was at home of an aged couple. The daugter was suffering from some mental problem and i asked the father to do a remedy based on Prana antar dasa.

b) Then the father left to get some medicine, and did not return for some time. The mother was worried and i guessed where the father had gone by some wierd technique(looking at dwisabhava rasis, drekkana etc). I had written this somewhere, i need to find it out again.

So astrology is not all that we know, it is a higher level madness to help people pass their time.

BTW i repeat, tomorrow i am going to bangalore, but next week it is eastward for which i think you needed another technique. So you are right about westward movement

best wishes

Mars and A4 share no grah or rasi drishti. A4 lord is neecha in lagna. Mars and LL is strong cuz of parivartana. Mars has a V-argala on saggi A4 and and in turn as a argala from it. further, A4 is aspected by sun viz rashi drishti from 9th house. How do I co-relate all this to conclude love of speed?

My understanding is that love or happiness from vehicle is the 4th house itself. So simply and clearly 4th house being aries and mars in parivartana may indicate love of speed. Further A6 is there with mars in 2nd house which may indicate accidents as a result of this "love" or reckless driving...Please educate me if my direction of thinking is correct...

Dear Sir,

The particular Air Force outpost that Partha is visiting doesn't have air-ripping jets but awful unwieldy lorry-like Eurasian Antonov, Tupolev and Ilyushin cargo planes, whose noise to airspeed ratio is incredibly high. Not exactly inspirational, though I confess to excellent memories of the place, because I got a hang of driving in those very behemoths, albeit illegally and on the sly :)

Dear Rama

That was a good guess. Jupiter seems to be working fine transiting your second house. The logic is more than what I could have digested.

I thought the exchenge between the lagna lord Moon and 8th lord Saturn decided the direction of the journey- with Saturn (graha in lagna) indicating west placed in lagna and confirmed by Moon in a Vayu rasi (sign). Any comments about the marana sthana of both? You think the trip maybe cut short and he maybe required to come home sonner than expected.

Moon is with Mars in the 8th and Saturn is in lagna you see - Jupiter and Rahu could have found better houses than the 3rd and 9th.

Partha recite the mrityunjaya mantra 28 times and take 32 steps before boarding the taxi for the station/airpot.

Best of luck for a nice trip, focus on work and not what people think (Moon Mars Sat)

Dear Swee

I think we

have quite a few speed-junkies on the forum. In my teen days – the fastest

Ive gone was 250km/hr (which was the maximum as it was goverened) by car in a -

souped up Corvette – I friend of mine was test driving one so I couldn’t

resist the temptation. Nowadays – I think im a bit wiser and

simply cruise along as its just not worth it to speed.

The closest

ive come to a fighter jet was to sit in a cockpit of a stationery English

Electric Lightning (with engines firing at 10%)at Thundercity (Maximum velocity = Mach 2 at 15,000 feet) www.thundercity.co.za This is

another reason for you guys to visit Cape

Town. They have the largest collection of

privately owned supersonic fighter jets here in Cape Town. You can fly for approx 15min

in one, at a cost of approx only US$9000 :o). This aircraft is

famous for its vertical lift. They allow you to stand on the runway as

the jet does an overhead flypass and ascend in front of you where you can feel most

of its awesome 2g force in the bones.

Now looking

at my chart, Mars has dristi on A4 – Also, dispositor of A4 Sun which is

conjoining Mars in 3rd in Aries. Does this account for my interest

in Speed or being fearless of the unknown?

Dear Sir,

Speedy jets are all very well for wowing your buxom neighbor and possibly even knocking a bit of her chimney as you buzz past, but you won't learn to drive in them. The vertical lift you mention is hardly pleasureable, take my word. The g-forces are good to buffet your buffet, but winging sensations are best experienced in a smaller, slower craft. The weird thing about driving in the air is that your first instincts are all wrong. And just in case you aren't in the know, the best drivers are all given helicopters. The jets are for the kids.

I have the divine combo of Mars and Ketu in 3rd, and it was during my Ve-Ra in 1987 that my navigator and I won a 400-mile rally in and around our hometown on a measly 100 cc bike. A month later, in much the same driving mode but within the city, I hit a bus well enough for the bike to be scrapped, and my x-rays are still being used in orthopedic education, I'm told :)

No other claims to speed beyond that, though Mars has argala on A4. Respects,

Ramapriya

Mars are in parivatana with argala over Ta, Cn and Le. Don’t forget the

On a lighter note, forget choppers I drive an old beat-up maruti in India. Seems to me that all what I desire is all I shall never have. :(

Dear Sanjayji, Ramapriya

I am back. I just saw your caution on cut short of travel, but nothing of that sort happened.

But looking back some interesting events which might help understand the Marana positions

a) I was not comfortable during the social evening where all the high ranking officers and junior officers were having drinks, wine et al

b) The actual passing out parade was on 2nd, and i reached by 1st.

c) on 1st we took a bad decision to go to mysore. We were not aware that the highway was being relaid. Another bad decision was to go in semi luxury bus, and it was a bad journey. Mysore palace was good, wife got sick, not a good journey. I was wiser on return trip, caught the AC Bus which was Incidentally named as AIRAVATA. Jupiter saved the day for me.

d) 2nd june, good day, except for the comfort factor. Whatever people may say, the Airforce people mostly live a life of pride and dignity, but sometimes vanity too. Lot of vanity on show which was disgusing

e) 3rd june, yesterday, good trip, lot of fun.

So the trip was not cut short, it was a decent trip, except for one or two harsh lessons.

I also met two kanya lagna people yesterday for whom i made umpteen right predictions. That made my trip somewhat meaningful.

Best wishes

partha
