Namaste Swee Ji,

I am mesmerized by the vast knowledge, I really am. wow.

(Incidentally my new NY rented apartment has perfect NW entry, except my bedroom is the NE corner)

Dear Gaurav

and List,

Namaste

Namaste Swee ji and the learned,

If I may, My developing mind says that NE

corner of any house is the Ishaan Kona. It is the deva sthana where the devatas'

reside. All prayers pujas (including puja rooms if you may)and placement

of murtis' generally is advised to be in Ishaan Kona.

It is precisely for this reason that

whenever we find that the Ishaan Kona of any property or house has been cut or missing,

the growth is not there. It is also for the same reasons that it is advised to

keep this part of the house clean and tidy and if possible put murties or

devatas here. In offices or business places, people are advised to create

scenarios' of flowing water from north to east (like putting pictures or small

indoor fountains) to increase the inflow of wealth.

Having said that, in Leslees' case, my

mind says that one would have to look at the blueprint of her entire living

space to correctly advise the place of offering. It may very well be that her

living room is in the southwestern corner of her property, or there is an

adjacent bathroom/toilet in the NE corner of the living room.

If cases where the bedroom is in the NE

of a property (like my own case), a make-fix of the situation could

be to create a separate elmira

or a closet for puja sthana in the NE of the room and keep it closed during the

night time.

This is just from what my

mind understands of the knowledge and may or may not be true.

However, having said that, I have you and

other learned members of the group to guide my path.

You’ve brought up something I have been

thinking over (after abandoning Feng Shui which was too general, though only the advance studies

in numerology had some sort of substance i.e., the Flying Stars theory). Now,

what if in your chart you’ll need to activate the yogada

lord in your house?

The basics are:

For Charts with the following

ascendants, these are the directions ruled by the particular ascendant you are

in.

He shall sleep on his left side; no

hesitation in this matter. For persons born in the zodiacal sign of Siàha, KanyÄ and TulÄ,

the main door is good if made in the North.

For the persons born of Våścika etc.,

the door is advised in the East, South and West in order. The door shall have

two units of length and one unit of width. There must be eight doors at least

in a house.

According to the above, I have given the

front door that is advisable for each of the Lagnas.

The above table also gives us an

indication as to when and where the vastu purusa’s head is pointing during the season. That every

three months beginning with BhÄdrapada, Ashvina and Karttika, its head

points East. The movement is in an anticlockwise manner

with Margashiras, Pausa and

Magha with its head in the North; West during Phalguna, Caitra and Vaishakha and South during the months of Jyeshtha, Asadha and Sravana.

Chapter 56.558b-559a

The months auspicious for constructions: MÄrgaÅ›iras (Nov-Dec), Phalguna

(Feb-Mar), VaisÄkha,

Magha (Jan-Feb), Sravaëa (July-Aug) and KÄrttika

are conducive to sons, health and wealth.

Texts 564 - 566 in the same

chapter gives a further clue on the don’ts for the Master of the house:

The 2nd and 12th

rasis are conducive to poverty, trines are conducive to one having no sons. The

6th and 8th signs indicate death while the other signs

are auspicious.

In nakshatras, the 3rd

nakshatra (of the house) from that of the Master of the house indicates

depletion of wealth; the 5th indicates depletion of prestige and the

7th forbodes death.

Tuesdays and Sundays are

conducive to fear and fire respectively.

Have fun in delineating J

Love,

Swee

Dear Gaurav,

Namaste

Next, coming

to Nakshatras, look at the date/month of construction. This can also mean

changes made to the building itself will also alter the general make up of the

building post construction.

Group the

nakshatras making up the 9 navamsas beginning with the month you’ve made

the change. Say it is in Margashirsa (denoting North) put the 1st 3

stars there and continue round each square in an anticlockwise manner. This

becomes the fixed fortune of the house. Look at where your nakshatra is placed J is it in sync with your chart?

BTW, consider

the placement of the nakshatras as you would, over the kalapurusha.

Maybe more

later.

Love,

Swee
