Dear Sir,

Since D-12 is the parents' chart, would it be wrong to consider just the 9th house to delineate the paternal grandfather? Or should one still look for 9th from 9th?

Namaste Rampriya Ji,

My understanding is, that 9th in ones chart shows father. For a closer look at ones' father we look at 9th or its lord and Sun in D12 (or 4th in D12 for mother) and delineate from there taking 9th as lagna for father. Now logically, in D12 9th from 9th would mean fathers' father, however the question is will it be a "closer look" at ones' grandfather or do we look at some other higher rashi divisional...

Dear Gaurav,

Namaste

Progressing to parents and grandparents

in Süryamsa or Dwadasamsa,

your paternal grandfather is indicated in the 5th house from lagna and

the Sun.

Maternal grandparents can be seen in the

7th and 12th houses from Lagna and Moon.

The transit of Saturn in trines to these

houses or the Sun/Moon can indicate the demise. I know your paternal

grandfather has already passed on, so you can try and see if it fits in with

your chart.

The higher plane, more on a karmic level

can be delineated through Khavedamsa and Akshavedamsa. Do try and purchase a

copy of the Varga Chakra book which is written by various Gurus and edited by

Sanjay ji.

Swee

requested regarding vicarious delineation..

Namaste Learned Group members,

For learning purposes, I wish to time the

passing away of ones' grandfather from ones' chart. Now I understand that using

bhava bhavam principles we can take the 9th from the 9th to arrive at ones'

grandfather at the rashi chart level.

However, for an in-depth look for father

we look at the 9th and natural karka Sun (which ever is stronger) in the

Dwadasamsa. Similarly, how to further learn about ones' grandfather from ones'

chart.

My developing mind says that perhaps 9th

from 9th in D12 would better exemplify ones' grandfather, but little I know to

be sure.

Namaste Swee Ji,

I understand the logic behind 9th or 4th from 9th for fathers' side and 9th or 4th from 4th for mothers' side in D12. Sure.

Transit of saturn aspecting/conjunct these houses or Sun/moon is Brilliant ! That is So True !

Now two questions:

1) What is the logic behind using saturns transit? I mean Why saturn?

2) this might be silly, but, what is the logic for using d12 for parents ? I mean D9 for marriage is understood since vivaha is an act of dharma. D4 for housing comforts is understood but should be also not use D4 for mother?? similarly D9 for father? , why use the 12th division for parents?

Hare Rama Krishna,

Namaste Bipin,

Logically- Yes. Ones' self and ones' grandfathers' father are same. lol

(of course that makes me happy because my grandfathers' father was among the wealthiest man in India as I am told )

On a little serious note, I think, there has to be certain limitations applying bhavat bhavam principle so as to how far back we can go...specially in rashi. maybe our Gurus can throw some light on this.

BTW: the moon yesterday night was the most amazing sight, appearing so close and so lit-up as if someone had put a yellow bulb inside it for it to glow soft yellow.

Dear Gaurav

Im following your thread and am just

curious as to how far one can rotate the chart to read people, just from Rasi

chart. Im probably going to sound absurd, but its worth exploring the

principle just for my own sanity.

Is this scenario possible in delineating a

chart - if by rotating chart, 9th from 9th is father; then rotating

it further by 9 one would expect to read your grandfather and then further by

another 9 one can read great-grand father. If this is the case, then one

gets back to ones own lagna, so is it reasonable to assume that you and your

great grand-father had similar issues to deal with??

Am I missing something – it sounds

logical but not sure if there is a basis for this – maybe some members

can give more clarity on this.

Regards

Bipin
