Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear List members As this forum is not only limited to Jyotish discussion per the Forum welcome note from Swee, I thought of posting this question on numerology that was on my mind. The old Indian adage when making donations is for the amount to be an odd number. Is it not more appropriate for the amount to add up to a number 9, like 108, 243, 495, 1008, etc Look forward to hearing from you Regards Bipin ******************************************************************* The e-mail and attachments are confidential and intended only for selected recipients. Guest guest
Dear Bipin 9 completes the cycle isn't it? there are 9 grahas, and this kind of numbering probably meant circling around the universe once. best wishes partha On 4/28/05, Bipin Prag <bipin.prag wrote: Jaya JagannathaDear List membersAs this forum is not only limited to Jyotish discussion per the Forum welcome note from Swee, I thought of posting this question on numerologythat was on my mind. The old Indian adage when making donations is for the amount to be an oddnumber. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Ramapriya Im not advocating that saying that those donating in odd numbers were all wrong. My question is whether donating by the best numerological number would bring about a better vibration and result. (now lets not get philosophical here, ideally one wants to donate from the heart and without an agenda – but im looking more at the application here) So, this brings me to another question. Should we look at the numerological value in relation to one’s birth chart?? Im tired of just following like sheep and my guruji J has taught to always question and substantiate with a credible source. If there is no spiritual basis, then it just becomes a tradition, like so many unnecessary practices we find today handed down from generations.
