Vinita, This isn't what you asked but I might add that shadja or sa (western do) means truth that gives birth to six others, rishabha or ri (western re) means the bull which has to ways to think, i.e. logical and creative. Gaandhaara or ga (western note mi) means the voices and sounds of the celestial world through naada or pure tone. The fourth madhyama or ma (western fa) means central in the scale and the central body in the cosmic-physical world; panchama or pa (western so) means fifth from the tonic, called shadja that's perfectly harmonic to the first. Dhaivata means deceitful dha (western note la) and nishaada or ni (western ti) means seated or root or grossest. Guest guest
Ramriya, That was lovely! So we have the 7 notes beginning with So / Sa ( u have the finer and the grosser notes in the rishabha) We have the 7 colors from Red to Violet (grosser to finer?) We have the 7 chakras from Mooldhara to Sahasara(grosser to finer?) We have the 7 Lokas from Bhu to....(I forget the name of the 7th Loka) (Mars to Jupiter - grosser to finer?). All this appears to be a very intelligent design, don't u think?
