Dear Vikas,

I am not a senior member but a interested student of Jyotish.

One of the major remedies prescribed for turmoil in life, is fasting

on UL days. Your UL is in cancer, so you must fast on Monday,

sunrise to sunset, only water and milk allowed.

Assuming you have the correct birth time, your karakamsa is

conjoined 4 planets and also has mutual rashi drishti with the

remaining planets. Looks interesting but I dont know what its

significance is. Perhaps, learned members can explain.

12th from Karakamsa is seen to determine which diety to be

worshipped (Ishta devata) to lead us to spirituality (and further to

moksha). Rathji says that worship of Istha devata will protect you

from all harm.

In your case, 12th from Karakamsa is Scorpio. Scorpio has 2 lords,

Ketu and Mars. Mars is placed in 6th house, in friendly sign and

aspects the Karakamsa. Scorpio is not conjoined any planet and only

has graha drishti of Saturn, which means that Narayana is your Ishta

devata. Saturn in your chart is Bhratrikaraka, so it is important

for you to have good relations with your siblings and gurus. Venus

as atmakaraka signifies that you must maintain purity in

relationships and not over-indulge.

Dharma devata is to worshipped to fulfill the desires and goals of

Thanks for replying. I think my earlier reply to you did not go

through, so re-posting.

When Rathji prescribed to me the Upapada fast, I think he said water

and milk is ok. I hope he will confirm.

According to the charakaraka slide word file, I have, to determine

the Ishta devata:

Step 1: Planets in the signs

Step 2: Planets aspecting the sign. In Vikasji's chart, it is Saturn.

However as you rightly said, aspecting planets show direction to the

Ishta devata and not the devata itself. So my earlier assessment was

wrong. And saturn is not the Ishta devata. Kindly note Vikasji.

Step 3: Lord of the sign. Mars & ketu. Ketu is placed 9th from

karakamsa and is also the dharma devata. As you pointed out, I also

think worship of Ganapati would be most beneficial.

at some time. More can be gauged from an accurate

Vimsamsa (D20).

thanks for your reply to my query.

at present I am facing a lots of problems

on professional front( no job),

family front due to differences with wife( divorce pending)

legal difficulties as my wife has filed a false/fake criminal case

against me,my mother and sister.( related to dowry- i dont now

whether its applicable abroad but its applicable in india and is a

very harassing experiance)

I along with my mother and sister had to suffer a lot due to police

from sep 17-2005 to oct 3-2005,how ever with the grace of god we

were not arrested as desired by my inlaws due to lack of evidence.

however the police enquiry is incomplete and expected to resume in

first week of december.

please mark the dates coinciding with the dates mars went into

retrogression and the date it turns direct.

Fear of humiliation and imprisonment is haunting all of us.

saturn is transitting my UL.

In my case saturn is bhratri karaka,achieves neech bhanga in rasi,is

sixth from amatya karak in navamsa hence a palan graha for me,is

also the lord of 64 navamsa and 22nd drekkana.

being bhratri karak and significator for palana graha it should be

benefic taking into consideration its neech bhanga but being lord of

22nd drekk and 64 nav it should be very malefic.

As a blind shot i started reciting " jaya rama shri rama jaya jaya

rama " which is said to be a sure remedy for revoving the bad effects

of khar drekk.

I have been worshipping hanumanji for last many years as well as

kali.

I fast on full moon days.

The basic confusion is whether saturn is benefic for me or it is

malefic

whther my ishta planet is mars of ketu?(ketu is in 7th house from my

arudha lagna so it seems to be opposing my arudha),it is in ninth

from my karkamsa so it is the dharma devata.

I AM CONFUSED

do u foresee imprisonment for us in a false case?

But I really think you should start worshipping Ganapati. And start

fasting on Mondays, sunrise to sunset (water and milk is fine).

tension or both as a malefic in 3rd from arudha gives will to fight

please excuse me if my concepts are not clear,i am learning vedic

astrology through this forum as no teacher for this is available in

jalandhar and the local astrologers at the most scan the horo till

level of navamsa only and nobody goes into the concept of chara

karakas.

I hope I shall be able to come out of all this with guidance of

::Hare Rama Krsna:: Dear Vikas and Sanjay, Jupiter is in Maranakarakasthana in Navamsa and is conjoined Atmakaraka Venus. In Crux of Vedic Astrology, under 9th house chapter, "Atmakaraka with Saturn in the 3rd house can cause imprisonment/bondage", with the context being Navamsa. In this chart, Saturn and Mars aspect Atmakaraka in the 3rd house. Jupiter is conjoined badhakesh and UL lord Moon in the 12th house. However is a yellow saphire the most desirable stone to prescribe? Sun is exalted in Rasi, sitting in the 9th house in Navmasa. It is also the 9th lord from Karakamsa in the 7th from the same. Would not a Ruby, and the worship of Rama be more advisable? Afterall, it is Saturn, the karaka for imprisonment and bondage whom we wish to counter, and Sun is the highest candidate. Please clarify... Also, Sun is the dispositer of Ketu, the Ishta devata, who is represented by Ganesha, who should also be worshipped. In the tithi pravesh chart for 2005 there are bandhana yogas formed by Saturn and Moon from Lagna, Moon and Mars, Jupiter and Mercury and the nodes from AL. Lagna lord and weekday lord Sun is exalted in the ninth, but is involved in a destructive yoga with Venus. The period of Venus dasa in tithi astottari dasa was the time of harrasment. The upaya for this yoga is Moon, and Moon dasa is currently running. Moon is conjoined UL again, so fasting on Mondays could be a favourable remedy. Hora lord Mercury is debilitated in the 8th house, conjoined Rahu (another destructive combination), indicating an overall bad year. Mars is in 7th house here too. Divorce should
