Guest guest
Dear Gurus, Would Staurn 4th from Ak in D-20 mean that the soul is supposed to perform yoga in this life? Also what does Mercury 4th from Ak in D-9 mean? Regards, Shruti
Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Namaste, 4th house is for Vaahana or Vehicle. In other words it gives gati or Direction. The 4th from Ak in D20 gives direction or the transports used by Atma for it's Goal. So In short, Yes, Saturn in 4th can give Yoga. Saturn controls Praana etc. Warm Regards Sanjay P sohamsa , " shrupata " <shrupata> wrote: > Dear Gurus, > > Would Staurn 4th from Ak in D-20 mean that the soul is > supposed to perform yoga in this life? > > Also what does Mercury 4th from Ak in D-9 mean? > > Regards, > Shruti

Guest guest
Dear Pierre There is a misconception that AK shows the Soul. AK can never show the soul, as Soul is beyond the control of planets. Then what does AK show? AK is the " theme " of the experiences that the soul is learning in the particular life. Guest guest
Dear Partha, Thank you! I am not Hindu hence this question: you were speaking of chara atmakaraka or karmatman, weren't you; at a higher level (is it paramatman?), were your soul and mine *at the beginning* identical fractions and will they become so again after we get moksha? In fact, I am looking for a good theological book by a Hindu priest for Christians, which I couldn't find in French. Sorry I have been off topic. Guest guest
Dear Pierre, With my limited knowledge, I putting forward few thoughts related to your question " were your soul and mine *at the beginning* identical fractions and will they become so again after we get moksha " In Hindu philosophy there are broadly two branches: Dualism (Dwaitha) and Advita. People following dualism rely mainly on Bhakti yoga; the basic foundation is that individual human soul (atman) is different from Parama-atman and can never become one with Parama-atman. While advita philosophy propounds that each soul is manifestation of same supreme reality (referred to as Brahman); the soul and Parama-atman are one and the same. Thus the word self-realization - to search for self identify, to realize the supreme truth; to realize oneness with the supreme reality- to realize that you yourself are part of the supreme reality. Excellent works of Swami Vivekananda, Adi Sankaracharya, Arbindo and many others are available on this subject. Regards Raj Pierre-Olivier Loisel <Poloisel wrote: Dear Partha,Thank you! Guest guest
om namo bhagavate vasudevaya Dear Nilesh There are only five planets used in Jyotish. The rest are stars, sattelites, points and some mathematical angles based on time. These are all called 'graha' or 'upagraha'. So the translation of the word graha as planet, is a forced and very limited translation. It does not do justice to either the original word nor to the action symbolised in the word graha as seizing, controlling or influencing. So a approximate word for Graha in english could be something like 'Grabber' Warm Regards Sanjay P Grahana = Eclipse (To hold cover something) Griha = A home or an encolsing sohamsa , " Guru Sanjay Rath " <guruji@s...> wrote: > > > > om namo bhagavate vasudevaya > > Dear Nilesh > There are only five planets used in Jyotish. Guest guest
om namo bhagavate vasudevaya Dear Tijana Thanks for that valuable input to Sanjay Prabhakaran's writing. Yes then we need a better word for Graha and Grab or Grabber is not the perfect one as it still does not define the context of grabbing and the body or mathematical point in space. Should we then stick to Graha itself? With best wishes and warm regards, Sanjay Rath * * * Sri Jagannath Center® 15B Gangaram Hospital Road New Delhi 110060, India http://srath.com, +91-11-25717162 * * * sohamsa [sohamsa ] On Behalf Of tijanadamjanovicTuesday, September 06, 2005 10:42 AMsohamsa Subject: Re: Saturn 4th from AK Om Namah ShivayaNamaskar! I just have to add here that Serbian word that has a same meaning as English "grab" is "Grabiti" with GRAB being the root. "Grabiti" acctualy means taking something (from someone) by some force. Modern linguistic has proved the same origin of the European languages (Indo-european) taking the sanskrit as the last known language as the source (though assuming that the oldest sanskrit was a bit different)...Sincerely,Tijanasohamsa , "sanjayprabhakaran" <sanjaychettiar@g...> wrote:> || Om Gurave Namah ||> Namaste,> I think the word Grab and Graha (Grahana) are from similar source.
